It’s really embarrassing. The Nigerian constitution should clearly define the roles of Deputy Governors to resolve these embarrassing situations in this country. Governors have become semi gods in their respective states that federal allocations are their pocket monies and treat everyone as their slaves. Politicians lack the culture of managing opposition. You cannot even positively criticize them to improve their approach in governance while they don’t even have the capacity to govern well without classifying you as an enemy. Democracy can never develop as long as the constitution cannot be operational. What is the difference between the military and the democracy in Nigeria today? Your votes doesn’t count and every elected official is a dictator. It’s rather unfortunate that in this country we lack credible leadership that values the role and function of democracy and it’s tenets.

Why do we go to school and get educated.. there is decorum in handling every situation in the manner it deserves and you will come out very honorable. Most at times it is very common amongst politicians in our continent because there are no guard rails within the constitution to protect vulnerabilities of weaker partners in the union ( governors and deputy governors). What has happened between Donald Trump and Mike pence is not comparable to Obasaki and Shuabu at all. There problem is more of a law breaker being a president and law abiding Vice President who respects the constitution. The Vice President Pence refused to take orders to break the law. In whatever situation I consider it highly indecent to celebrate fights between governors and their deputies as if there are no guard rails that guides your conducts and relationships in the scheme of the Nigerian constitution. These fights always border personal loyalty than the loyalty to the operations of the Nigerian constitution. That’s why in Nigeria all relationships between public servants are dictated more by interpersonal than official relationships. That’s why your boss wife will venture to call you and send you on personal errands in Nigeria. Refusal to comply will cost you your job. Honestly I don’t know when we begin to classify relationships in the public service as official and remain official for efficiency and effectiveness.Honestly our politicians must learn extra lesson on tolerance and management of official relationships.

Was he forced out of govt house by his boss, and why are people even saying he has suffered alot for Obaseki, what about the benefit he has been getting? If you have an ambition and your boss isn't supporting you, is that a good reason to start quarreling your boss. From the look of things, your boss isn't saying you should not contest, but he is saying he is not going to support you because it is not the turn of Edo North.
