Andrea Evans she could have given us a, resolution we could have lived with, but no, she wanted in LEGACIES THERE to be no ORIGINAL vampires left. If she tells another story related it will be about a wolf and two witches...she always has a back door pilot...just not what we want to see....@julieplec did us no justice and a promise that was made 5 years ago has been broken. And has been teased so much. And on top if that they could have ended this season on a,much happier note without killing everyone or taking them out...but the name LEGACIES should have told everyone the story. Enough said. She even admitted all she ever wanted to do was a,boarding house show of "special children" hmmm sounds like a,rip off of the X-Men to me only they are witches werewolves and vampires....but sounds to me like she wants to write for comics and isn't good enough and thought they might look at her...😂😂😂

For second I was going to go off on you because I thought you were saying Elijah should’ve died without happy ending but you are right. The writer just completely messed up we didn’t see the dance we didn’t see if they even got peace and so many people loved Elijah and Klaus. I can't accept Klaus's death because I feel like Julie did this just because of the spin off. It would have been weird if Hope's parents were alive and did not come to see her. If it were not for legacies they could have gotten their happy ending. Hayley always said that she wanted something better for hope. Becoming an orphan isn't better. And it breaks my heart that Hayley at least saw hope grow up into a teenager. Klaus had very little time with her. This is heart breaking. I an already terrifies about my results because I messed up on an exam and now I am depressed about this and now I can't concentrate on anything because I am crying. This is shit.

I just finished the ending of The Originals and I am so heartbroken. 😢💔 The Mikaelsons were maybe the ones we feared in The Vampire Diaries, but we loved them deeply in The Originals, because they showed why family is the most powerful thing to have. 😢 Among all, I am deeply sad & broken, because Hope became an orphan at such a young age. You can see in Legacies how she struggled so much without Hayley & Klaus by her side. 😭 I will definitely love Hope more in Legacies Season 2, so much! And for our Niklaus, I am so proud of him. He became the man that we could ever love for. Klaus is really a great father. 😭❤ You really can see how scared he was when Hope was close to dying and will do anything to save her. Like Klaus said, he may not lived a honorable life, but he became the man to have an honorable death. I am truly happy & honored to be able to see & bring The Originals with me as I go on. The Originals, The Mikaelsons, will remain here in my heart. Always and Forever. 💖

I have been a loyal fan of The Vampire Diaries since it began in 2009. I have never missed an episode of TVD or TO. After 9 years you become attached to the characters...or at least I did. This ending was just devastating to watch. We did not get to see if Elijah or Klaus found peace. When their ashes floated in the air & the logo came on...I thought "What just happened???" Horrible horrible ending😭😭 Definately not the way I wanted to say goodbye to the characters & tv show I've loved for 5 years & invested time in watching. It just felt wrong. Murder-suicide??? Why Julie??? Elijah & Klaus deserved better. I was really excited for Legacies just because I've been watching "vamps" for so long that I can't imagine what it will be like without them...it certainly softened the blow for me when TVD ended because The Originals were still around. Knowing me I will probably tune in to see what Legacies is all about; however, I don't foresee investing in the characters like I did with TVD and TO.

She asked for it that way so she wanted to move on as she had other carriers acting eles were. this was the worst ending , Klaus wanted to sacrifice himself and rejected Elijah's death so Elijah would be alive but when he wanted to due with him so what was the point of both of them dying???? Klaus death was unnecessary when Elijah accepted to sacrifice himself .He should have been with his daughter , so that ending didn't make sense killing two main characters without a logical reason ....

The point of this ending was Klaus finally doing the selfless thing of sacrificing himself to save his daughter, therefore, redeeming himself. Elijah had spent a millennium trying to help Klaus achieve his redemption. When that was done, Elijah had no meaning in his life anymore. He had lived a thousand lifetimes, so the best ending he could have gotten was to die beside his brother. The two were inseparable. The overall storyline of this show was Niklause slowly, but surely gaining his redemption. And when that happened, they simply completed their lives, and passed on.

so let me repeat what just happened. elijah would have gladly taken the dark magic from hope and then kill himself to make sure hope can grow up with her father alive. klaus wouldnt let him because he wanted redemption and also didnt want elija to die so he can look after hope. and then elijah just goes " yea i wanna die too btw, and everyone is fine with that" for no reason at all and klaus just lets him do this ? i loved TVD and the originals but jesus christ julie plec is awful at writing series finales.

Part of it is also that the show pretty much got cancelled right? I'm sure there were many more stories to tell but with ratings and DCW adding more & more superhero shows things have to go. This leaves Julie with a even harder job, trying to wrap up as many things as possible in 1 season.

It really didn't make any sense. They're family would never just give up, they always, always find another way. Plus, it was just so abrupt, there was no build up. It just made their deaths seem kind of pointless. Also the fact that they killed each other just standing in like the middle of the street where anyone could see them. None of it made sense.

Metaphor being, yes it was rushed but the show was basically cancelled so Julie did what she could to give a emotional ending as well as tie into Legacies. Now whether people agree with the ending is up for debate but I liked it. Klaus wanted to be alone so why would others be around for it. Elijah was the only one who made sense. Love the Originals and I know they normally wouldn’t let this stop them from surviving BUT DCW has to make room for their 6 hero shows. I’m curious what time slot Legacies will get. Unpopular opinion but I loved how Klaus and Elijah went out. Always and forever, brotherly love, and redemption. The Mikaelsons were always about family and people outside of their circle hated that about them. Hated how they would do anything and everything to keep themselves alive. That they weren’t capable of sacrificing their own for the better good of everyone. Klaus and Elijah did that. They stopped all hell from breaking loose even if their initial intention was only to save Hope, their friends, and family. I see comments saying Elijah should have just taken in the demon and died alone but if I remember correctly, Klaus was chosen because he was the most powerful creature before Marcel became a version of an upgraded original. Remember the thing was so powerful they had to split it among FOUR originals. Then when Hope tried to carry it alone, it was so powerful that it could have killed her. So Klaus carried it so that his siblings could live on. If Klaus wasn’t going to sacrifice himself, Elijah wouldn’t have known he himself would be willing to die too. Elijah’s life purpose was Klaus, if there was no Klaus he wouldn’t know how to carry on living. And Klaus wouldn’t have let Elijah die alone, hell Klaus couldn’t stay away from Elijah when he basically begged Elijah not to look for him. They were a package and inseparable. One wouldn’t agree to live if the other had agree to die. They had to go out together or not at all. I also believe the ending was the best way to officialize Klaus’ character growth. For 1,000 years Mikael called him weak and an abomination. As a “dad” Mikael didn’t protect his children, he never made sacrifices for his kids. Instead he hunted them and inserted fear into them. Klaus was the strongest creature around for a long time. Usually strongest creatures are selfish and to remain the strongest they don’t care or love. But in Legacy, THE necromancer said Klaus died with LOVE in his heart. Klaus gave up his life as one of the strongest creatures. He wasn’t born evil and all he ever truly wanted was unconditional love. When Hope said she saw a monster that looked like her dad, it pained Klaus. Ever since Hope was born, Klaus wanted to be nothing but the exact opposite of Mikael as a dad and a man. So once again I believe the ending was necessary and beautiful.

Exactly! How about that last dance that Hayley was talking about? They could show us a scene of her and Elijah dancing together after he and Klaus stabbed each other. And Klaus? They could show us the scene where he looks at Hope, smiles and dissappears, like Hayley did, or the scene of peace that he finds with Cami. So many possibilities, but no, the writers had to leave us depressed...

He said Klaus watches over her everyday, died with love in his heart, does not regret his decision and said that his spirit it all around Hope. So that can mean that he isn’t in darkness or what? Because the damn writer didn’t give us any proper closure on what remains Klaus. Like cmon, I’m over here crying still.

That was a Beautiful ending! I'm gonna miss this show...some seasons were stronger than others but really, the quality and intensity and seriousness remained a constant throughout the series..I watched TVD and always found the originals to have a very different ,edgy,intensity and an Adult quality and theme that TVD was lacking...This one was a darker show and i liked that...To see Both klaus And Elijah go from homicidal ,heartless,cold mass murders into what the ultimately became in the finale was wild! this was a great ride with a great ending,loved the family get together and the brothers final moments.

They should’ve at least showed us what Eljiah and Klaus face after death. “What if there is no peace after this?” They should’ve done something about it, maybe a little teaser or just an aftermath. They’re ‘The Originals’, they must have some abilities to maybe show up again for a season 6 or just show up in the real world. This show has so much potential to continue for seasons 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. It was such a great great show. I really don’t why it had to end.

I think the ending was done so poorly in my opinion. They wasn't called the originals for nothing! I thought bringing something more powerful in was a mistake. Making marcel the beast was silly because I don't think the originals should fear anyone. Like Klaus said he was their makers.. After everything they have been through and overcome its ridiculous it's now over. We should seem some afterlife or something rather than nothing! They live forever remember..
