Absolutely! I loved how real and relatable it was. I'm glad they decided to show Bill & Frank's relationship because we don't get to see that in the game. I love the little things they change in the TV show to keep the new audience and the gamers on their toes.

You took the words right out of my mouth. It's so nice to finally see a show - or anything for that matter - that finally acknowledges that there are more types of gay men in the world than just the youthful pretty boys or flamboyant, over-the-top effeminate stereotypes inserted just for humour that is the usual portrayal.

He mentioned showing a middle aged relationship. Until he said that I didn't realise that's part of what made that episode amazing. There are too many Teen and Twenty something relationship dramas. Episode 3 really showed the depths of emotions and challenges that come with an older relationship. It makes the ending so much more beautiful and tragic. Imo.

Just give these guys all the awards. It's crazy that you could pick a character like Bill from the games, and subvert expectations in such a beautiful way. If this wasn't the most delicate and heartfelt episode of TV ever, I might have been disappointed that Ellie and Bill never met. They could have put Bill and Frank as main characters and the series would shine even more, imagine the acting masterclass they gave us in 1 episode, what wouldn't they do in 9 episodes?

Nick Offerman's comparison with Bill and Ellie's relationship would be like Ron Swanson and April Ludgate's in Parks and Rec is the strawberry on top of my vanilla ice cream cake. 🍓🍦

That's the best portrayal of a gay relationship ever seen on TV. Or any relationship for that matter...
