ഒരു വർഷം 5 പേര് ഒക്കെ ആന കൊല്ലുന്ന സ്ഥലം ആയിരുന്നു വാൽപ്പാറ. ഇവിടെ റേഞ്ച് ഓഫീസർ മണികണ്ഠൻ സാർ ആദ്യം പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കുകൾ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കു. കഴിഞ്ഞത് 3 വർഷമായി ഒരു കഷ്വാലിറ്റി പോലും ഇല്ല. അതിന് കാരണം ആയി അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞ ആദ്യ വാക്ക്. എലെഫന്റ് കൊറിഡോർ ക്ലിയർ ചെയ്തു എന്നാണ്. ആനകൾ വരുന്നതും പോകുന്നതും ആയ വഴികൾ ക്ലിയർ ചെയ്തു ഒരു ബിൽഡിംഗ്‌ പോലും കെട്ടാതെ ഫ്രീ ആയി മൂവ് ചെയ്യാൻ ഉള്ള സൗകര്യം ചെയ്തു എന്നും നമ്മുടെ കേരളത്തിൽ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റുമോ ചെയ്യാൻ സമ്മതിക്കുമോ. പിന്നെ അവിടെ ആനകൾ നില്കുന്നത് കണ്ടോ അടുത്ത് ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ എങ്കിലും കാണാൻ പറ്റുന്നുണ്ടോ. ആനകളെ അതിന്റെ വഴിക്ക് വിടുകയാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്. മറിച് കേരളത്തിൽ ആണെങ്കിലോ ആനകളുടെ പിറകെ ആ നാട് മുഴുവൻ കാണും പടക്കം പൊട്ടിച്ചും ബഹളം ഉണ്ടാക്കുയും ആനകളെ ശല്യം ചെയ്ത് കൊണ്ട്. കേരളത്തിലെ അവസാനം ഉണ്ടായ ആന ആക്രമണത്തിൽ മരണപെട്ട കാര്യങ്ങൾ നോക്കിയാൽ തന്നെ അറിയാം എന്ത് കൊണ്ടാണ് അത് ഉണ്ടായത് എന്ന്. അവിടെ പറഞ്ഞാൽ മനസിലാക്കാനും അനുസരിക്കാനും അറിയാം ഇവിടെയോ. എന്നിട്ട് കേരളത്തിലെ ഫോറസ്റ്റ്കാരെ തെറി വിളിക്കുന്നു

ശ്രീ. ബിജു പങ്കജിനു അഭിനന്ദനങ്ങൾ ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു പ്രോഗ്രാം ചെയ്യ്തതിന്. ഫോറെസ്റ്റ് സംബന്ധമായി റിപ്പോർട്ടിനു പറ്റിയ ആൾ തന്നെ. പിന്നെ പ്രതേകിച്ചു ഇതു കണ്ടു പഠിക്കേണ്ടത് ജനങ്ങളുടെ നികുതി പണത്തിൽ നിന്നും കൃത്യമായി ശമ്പളം വാങ്ങി വയറു നിറയെ തിന്നു ജീവിക്കുന്ന വനം വകുപ്പ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും അതിനു മുകളിൽ ഇരുന്നു സുഖിക്കുന്ന വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രിയുമാണ്. ശരിയ്ക്കും കേരളത്തിനു മാതൃകയാക്കാവുന്ന ഒരു സിസ്റ്റം. അല്ലാതെ ആളിനെ കൊന്ന ശേഷം അതിനെ വെടി വെക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി പുറകെ നടക്കുന്നതല്ല .
