I think parents , teachers and RGV are uncomparble ..You might not have such maturity to catch the philosophy at that age , even though if your teacher have the mindset of RGV or even the teacher is RGV. If Mother and father have same mindset of RGV , they cannot live together..if they live together with RGV mindset, you may be a RGV or a mental disable person with multiple disorder . I think if your age is above 27 , you are now have the capacity to balance the thoughts of RGV in your brain , by balancing all emotions in your life .

I read Atlas Shrugged, Fountain head and a few more books of Ayan Rand in 1981 while I was in my college. Really the feeling were thrilling. Intoxicated with a different thinking. My closest friend was busy in reading Marxist literature. We never clash with ideas. Personal friendship is different. We used to have serious discussions But latter I gave up my passion for Ayan Rand works and idealogy because I find it lacks humanism. I/ we need society , however extraordinary one may be. When we need society we have to stregthen it and perpetuate it's existance. Inspite of certain problems with society, we need the institution Ayan Rand ivjectivism seems to be fantastic and romantic Similarly the comminisim is also greatest romantic social idea. One for the group and the group for the unduvidual. Individual contributes to commune and the cinmunity stands for the unduvidual.What more romantic social idealogy we find. But what happened actually worldwide is a different issue
@YashArya012 жыл бұрын
Ayn Rand didn't say we don't need other people. In a rational society other people can be a great value and in an irrational society it can be worse than being alone, depending on how irrational it is. She specified what the right relationship between people is: the Trader Principle. To trade value for value, in both material and non-material realm, instead of being a parasite or a victim. The Virtue of Independence means you don't demand to consume more than you produce. The independent person is not one who is cut off from others. It's one who first produces, trades, and then consumes. This is the general state. Only because this is the general condition of humans that we can afford to take care of those who must be dependent (children and severely disabled people, say).

A good interview by RGV, i suggest he reads "Blackwell Companion to Philosophy" - A companion to AYN Rand, may be it is with him now. Ayn Rand did not believe in any faith, and she lived her life and it was the heaven on earth, many among us who can shed away GUILT and follow her can do so the same and so believ ing about Heaven or Hell was not in any of her books. Nietzsche was far ahead of his times because Europe was struggling to emerge out of the cocoon of the papacy and religion's hold and after passing through Renaissance and Enlightenment, and with Victorian morals being broken down, it took a good 400 years from 1500 through 1900's many philosophers had to use an alterego and Nietzsche created one Zarathustra, and it is AYN Rand with same analogy created Howard Roark in Fountainhead. She acknowledges with this quote in circa 1935 - " Thus spake Zarathustra is my Bible. I can never commit suicide while i have it" . Many people take time to spell Nietzsche, and many of his writings are understood after his death in 1900. It may be a sheer coincidence Ayn Rand was born after he died. I have to read Ayn Rand and understand her a lot, but RGV has given good insights and seems to be well versed.
