Love the way the front end kicks right up when you give it a squirt. I'll have a TVR one day.

This is one of the best things to do in life..out with mates, sunny day, in TVRs. Been without a TVR for a few years but now have a rather special TVR 420 SEAC..fitted with a 5L Griffith engine, 218 cam, carbon ACT plenum, carbon enlarged trumpets etc... Looking forward to doing similar. Nice video.

That noise is sexual. LOVE the Rover V8 and they sound SO amazing in the TVRs

That V8 started life as a Buick before Rover got hold of it. I have a TVR Chimaera 450 which I love and it sounds awesome as do all TVR's. Get one as soon as you can!

I never realised watching another bloke driving a car could make for compulsive viewing! I really need one of these in my life. Head says buy a Porsche 911; heart says get a Chimaera...........1-0 to the heart! Nice vid. and love the exhaust note.

I know your comment was a year ago, but having owned a few porsches and currently owning a Chim I have to say if you have the money to maintain it, it's one brilliant car. Sadly mines fucked as the camshaft snapped... oops

Sorry for late response Matt, wasn't getting any notifications from KZbin for some reason! I'm using an external mic running down the boot stuck by the number plate.. very pleased with it! However, because you can only hear my car you can't hear the others, plus the noise in the tunnels... oh well, can't have it all!

@ looking at buying one very soon. Would you recommend a specific engine? (4.0/4.5/5.0) In general how was the reliability/servicing costs? Are parts still fairly easy to obtain? Cheers
@SmartyKD2 ай бұрын
@@jc07788 Personally only experienced the 5.0 in the Griffith, but early "big valve" 4.3 and 4.5s have a very good rep, but are only on early cars. They are pretty cheap to run for what they are, do not require much specialist knowledge and mechanically simple. I'm out of the loop a bit now and I imagine some parts might be getting a little scarce. Chassis rust is your enemy, but again its not an expensive thing to rectify or keep on top of. I'd go for a late 97+ 500 with power steering. But otherwise go on condition and history, and what colour combo you like best.... they are all awesome. Good luck!
