I was in Paris a few weeks back and these were everywhere. Looks have grown on me and I really like the interior. We’re happily running a 2023 408 as our 2nd car. I think I actually prefer this!

“Should you get one?” Let’s find out if it’s got a WET BELT engine, an external timing belt, or a proper timing chain. Google says it’s a wet belt design. That would be a rapid and easy NO from me then.

Would you do a video comparing 2008, 4008, and 5008 when they are similar price points? Preferably used. We tend to shop to a budget so it’s nice to have options of lower spec bigger car v higher spec smaller car.
@louisesmallwood913716 күн бұрын
Had the car for 4 months, a few cons for me. No rear wiper, no low water sensor for water wipers, which is a nightmare when you’re on the motorway in the winter and the water just runs out with no warning, the water tank is only small compared to others. Some journeys through towns etc for 30 miles and no miles used on electric, same journey some days it can do 10/11 miles on electric. Map/sat nav has no indication of traffic jams , diversions, road works etc, so no way of avoiding beforehand. Its my first Peugeot, I don’t think i’ll be having another one.

Sensible to go hybrid. The rear of the car looks very ugly though and the coupe shape is utter rubbish. For that price, I’d never buy a Peugeot. Sorry

Still not sure what Peugeot are on with their pricing. Who is going to buy this car at anywhere near that price? I’m sure there will be massive discounts, but even then it’s expensive and impractical for such a big car. Sorry, but it’s a non for me.

Peugeot 3008 Is Like Renault Astral
@cunawaritАй бұрын
Over the past 25 years or so, most Peugeots I've driven have felt like a step backwards-a regression to a less refined era. In the 1990s and early 2000s, they came across as flimsy, almost like tin cans on wheels. Driving them felt like a journey back to East Germany, where vehicles were built to meet the constraints of a rigid, minimalist budget. Unfortunately, even today, they seem hopelessly outdated. The build quality remains lightweight and insubstantial, and they lack the power and refinement of other modern cars that either aren't constrained by tight budgets or aren't as heavily impacted by EU emissions regulations. The same applies to Fiat, Renault, Jeep, and Citroen.

@cunawarit You're talking the biggest pile of BS ever and clearly not talking from any real world experience. I run a late 2023 Peugeot 2008 as my primary daily car. Had from new and has been faultless so far. The build and finish is excellent. Far nicer than the German equivalents like a T Cross which I looked at, in terms of design flair and material quality. The tech is excellent as well and works well. It drives well and is certainly refined and comfortable.
