TVRM: Southern Railway 4501 Cab Ride April 2023

I’d sure love to do something like this one day. I’ve already been in the cab of 2 operational steam engines before, both of which I saw last year. I even got to ring the bell from one of them and their whistle. Engines in question were k36 489, which I rode during the first leg of my C&T trip in July to which the crew gave me permission to blow its whistle. The other being ATSF 3751 when it attended fullerton Railroad days where I got a tour of its cab and rang its bell. While those 2 times were great, I’d love to experience a cab ride in an active steam engine someday, like seen in this video. Sure looks and must’ve been fun!

630 doesn’t have an up to date annual inspection. Therefore, it can’t run until TVRM performs an inspection on it.

They removed it in order to open up the smoke box door.
