How is the resolution of the quest 3 passthrough? Is everything in the pit easy to read?

Yes I have no issues. Some of the panel reads slightly blurry but you can still read them no problem. And after a while your eyes just get use to it where it is not even noticeable to me anymore.

Hey I have a question. I have 4 additional physical monitors in my pit and was wondering if they will work using the same setup as you. I’m in DCS but from a functionality perspective I think the same ideas would apply. Just looking for some guidance before I go out and pick up the quest 3. Also are you a wired or wireless connection? Ty!

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Technically I am using four monitors as well; the two MFD LCDs, 1 LCD for the RWR and then a 50” TV as a monitor for the actual computer. I use an Ethernet to a USBC adapter for the quest 3. So technically it’s wired. In my tests you just can use the Q3 wireless for the way we want to use them.

@@RainmanHST Thank you for the quick response. I think I am going to pull the trigger on it. I really want to use the VR for when I am flying with my demo group but if it’s that good may switch all together. I am on track ir right now with the 55 Samsung Ark. 3 MFDs and a 10” for Standby Gauges..

@@hvyskyfall8530 having put almost 800 hours into a full triple projector and 270 degree screen it doesn’t stand up to VR/AR. Due to my cockpit I was waiting for AR as I want to see my cockpit and not the virtual cockpit. And now that we have AR there is no reason to do anything else. Nothing beats it.

The main cause of that is just performance. So first it doesn’t look that bad in the headset compared to the recording. A better GPU would help as well. But more importantly it’s not that noticeable when you are in the cockpit as the scaling is so large you don’t see it as much as looking on a screen with everything in smaller scale.
