Nice video Nicholette! Shame about the boiling heat though. I remember the 2009 heatwave when it got up to 115 farenheit and our trains ground to a halt! Wayne Junction certainly looks like one of the better stations on the network; very modern and plenty of train action.

Horrible ridership though. It's suffering. That may change when SEPTA Key is launched on Regional Rail Trains. The readers are there and you can even hear people trying to use it but getting the "nope" buzzard. (It's working but not online.) Personally I blame the 23 for the poor ridership because even though it's old and slow and taking twice as long as regional rail, it takes key cards and goes directly downtown. (Regional Rail kind of waieves though North Philadelphia before entering the tunnel at 8th & Spring Garden.)

Nicholette Casey I suppose fares also have something to do with it. It seems Wayne Junction has decent service levels but you would have to pay over twice the amount for the privilege to use it compared to the bus. I wonder if the convenience of SEPTA key alone would be enough to entice riders.

@@CaseysTrains most septa stations have really high ridership but this station is more like a yard.
