At that time, Korean performers are not popular in Japan. TVXQ are one of those paving the way for K-Pop's expansion in Asia. There are also Japanese performers at this festival.

2003 TVXQ debuted in Korea under SM 2005 THSK debuted in Japan under Avex. A-Nation is a summer concert that combines artists from Avex. THSK joined A-Nation in 2005 as a rookie that almost no one knew. A-Nation 2006 was their second year participating but unfortunately, team leader Yunho was injured and had to return to Korea for treatment, so the remaining 4 members had to try very hard to fill the gap. They sang and danced 4 songs continuously for more than 20 minutes under the scorching summer sun. And you know, they put all their feelings into singing ballads, and danced vigorously in the dance song, so by the last song Rising Sun, singing and dancing as well as in the video above was almost at their limit. Watch the behind-the-scenes video and you will see them almost crawling to the car and then being taken to the next activity. At that time they were just 18-20 years old boys.. Very heartbreaking. But watching A-Nation videos from 2005 - 2009 will show THSK's remarkable progress and growth, self-development and elevated status. Very happy.

Thanks for the reaction! Loved it! There were a lot of people present at the concert but only those carrying red balloons are their fans. You can see how little red there is in the crowd. Still, because it was packed since very early of people wanting to see other AVEX artists, these concerts were a huge opportunity for them to introduce themselves to a wider audience and hopefully attract new fans with their performances, which they did :) With every A-nation concert, the "red ocean" grew and grew. A-nation concerts were done annually during the summer, so it was hot and humid as hell, specially during the day. So lesser known artists would perform during the day and the company's bigger acts, at night :)

No. A-Nation 2006 was held from July 29, 2006 to August 27, 2006 Yunho was poisoned during the promotion of O-Jung Ban Hap in October 14, 2006. Yunho was absent from A-Nation 2006 due to a back injury.
