Thank you, and now there are hundreds of tire options for our TW with this wheel set. We would appreciate that and when you're ready to order, give us a call.

Believe this to be a great option for Tdub owners. Looking to see if there are any customer videos you all know of with this setup. Again I think it's a great option 👍

Hmm interesting..... I like the idea of more size options it would make my upcoming TW200 trip eaiser to plan thats for sure. Having to call ahead and make sure dealers / shops have the size tires I need is kind of a pain.
@TeamProCycle Жыл бұрын
You bring up a good point, being able to have more tire options or availability is what brought us to building a 17" rear wheel. The 19" front fell under the same notion but, also increased rideability.

Most excellent! Now if you just had a front with that would fit older bikes with a drum brake.

You can always give us a call. You'd be surprised at what bikes we can build wheels for.

How many link chain did it take? 14/50? Other sprocket set?
@TeamProCycle9 ай бұрын
We purchased a 134 link chain when we installed the swingarm extensions from JNS with the stock 14/50 sprocket combo. A general rule of thumb, is about +/- 2 teeth is one chain link in the respective direction. You go up 4 teeth in the rear, you'll need 2 extra links.

Well! Could be good! But the tw200 don’t have to be a xt225/250. The 14in is the TW signature. My opinion! Still good job!
@TeamProCycle Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching our video, and we agree, that 14" rear setup truly makes a TW what it is. We just found that many TW200 owners are looking for a more aggressive tire option that is still DOT approved, and is the proper tire orientation for the wheel it's going on, i.e. putting a rear tire on your front rim. Many tires are built specifically for front or rear not both. (Incase anyone else reads this, I wanted to make sure that information is out there.)

Any difference in speed and other performance?

How much overall height does the combination of wheels and the swing arm extension add to a standard TW?
@TeamProCycle Жыл бұрын
We gained about 1" of height. The tires that we choose to go with dimensionally are very close to the stock tire size. We do have a standard height Seat Concepts seat on the bike, though this should be the same as the stock seat, it is possible that it is a little different.

Interesting! Other than more tyre options, what performance benefits do you get from this rear tyre setup?
@TeamProCycle Жыл бұрын
Aside from what different tires can provide. With a 17" rear, the sidewall will be much shorter, resulting in a tighter riding bike. What do I mean by that, well the bike won't feel so bouncy in the rear and can be ridden a lot harder than compared to the 14" stock wheel. A couple other things include the ability to get a 17" tube and or tire in more remote places around the world. Finding a tire that will fit the 14" wheel is not that easy, and sure you can mount an ATV tire in the back, but now it's not road legal and not to mention the struggles people have getting one mounted to the rim. We've seen them improperly installed that resulted in the tire blowing up and destroying the rim. I hope this kind of answered your question.

so what is wrong with running an ATV tire i know those are way more aggressive
@JagLite Жыл бұрын
Well, that's interesting. What makes a TW a TW other than the wheels? It will be interesting to read comparisons of how the bike does compared with other TW's both with the stock wheels and with atv rear tire conversions. Did you weigh the wheels? Since the TW rear rim is steel, the larger but lighter aluminum rim might be lighter. With tires and tubes is the real weight I wonder about.
@TeamProCycle Жыл бұрын
We agree, it's not quit a TW without the big bubble tire in the back but, with this wheel set it hasn't really lost its charm. We will be doing a adv wheel set vs stock comparison video soon. I weighed the wheels sometime back and they were similar in weight, I don't recall off hand the exact poundage of each but they were within ounces of each other. We did find some 17" tire options though, that were actually up to 3 pounds lighter than the MotoZ tire we are using and some others that were the opposite of that. We stuck with the MotoZ because we wanted to try and keep the weight back there about the same for comparison reasons aside from the more aggressive tread pattern.
@JagLite Жыл бұрын
@@TeamProCycle Thanks for the wheel weight answer! There is a lot of difference in tire weights, even in the same size I know. I have an XT225 also and it is a completely different bike than my TW. Both are excellent when used as designed. But I read of some owners turning their TW into a sort of XT225 and I don't think they are going to be as happy as if they just bought a better dual sport bike I view the TW as a TRAIL bike and the XT as a DUAL sport. The difference being riding speed off road. A trail bike is great for poking along looking around, rolling over things, and stopping often. A dual sport is ridden faster, always picking the best line to ride on the trail, jumping things when the opportunity comes along, and challenging ourselves. Any dual sport can be ridden slow but a TRAIL bike is not much fun trying to ride faster. The Honda CT 125 is another TRAIL bike, not a dual sport.

The fat tires are the main reason i wsnt a tw
@TeamProCycle Жыл бұрын
The fat tires are a great reason to want a TW200. We've just had some interest over the years for something different and the ability to have more tire options. There is nothing like the bouncy bubbly feel of a TW on the trail though.

Tw200 just fine how it is why not just you enjoy it for what it is. Waste of money trying to turn it into some kind of superbike😂😂😂😂😂
@TeamProCycle Жыл бұрын
We agree with you, it is fine the way it is. Some owners though have asked for more tire options and the only way to do that at the moment is by switching over to a 17" rear wheel. The bikes handling characteristics do not change too much going from the 14" rear wheel if I'm being honest.
