You can tell the measure of both a song and the singer by how much they make you FEEL. This woman has an amazing voice and the ability to put passion and pain into her songs.

Btw, there is nothing wrong with showing emotion, especially if it's a dude, just like yourself. Crying is healthy, it helps release with pent up feelings like anger, hurt, self-loathing etc. A good cry is absolutely therapeutic for one's mind & body, it releases muscular tension, aches & pains which helps lessen my extreme moodiness @ times!! I find that when i don't or can't release pent up tension thats when things turn to S**t pretty quickly. I feel hope for this world when I see young men & woman emote outwardly without apology! So, don't apologize, you don't realise how helpful you are to others by being honest with your feelings. TY for your reaction, sweet as.

I really like your take on this, in that if she had not gone through this pain, she wouldn't be able to be singing this song this way; that's an excellent, positive way to look at it! I think it's so moving that she's saying she may not be with him anymore, but in her mind he will always be hers, and she will always be his; her heart won't be able to ever let go; that's how powerful her love and pain is. Many of us have felt that. It is impossible to not be moved every single time I see this performance.

Love your reaction! Love love yebba 💚 "I sure won't stay, but I'll be damned if I ever leave" for me this meant that she isn't going to stay but their relationship was too good for him to just forget about her. She knows what she did for him and the man she helped to build up...she may have been replaced but never replicated. He will think of her. It's a great lyric 💚💚

TW: suicide, parent death Yebba’s real name is Abbey - Yebba is that spelled backwards, & it’s what her mother called her. Yebba’s mother self-unalived shortly before this performance...I believe within a week or two before. It all comes out in this performance, and the pain reaches right through to all of us. Her amazing song Evergreen is about the loss of her mom. (I wouldn’t normally comment this, but no one has yet, and people usually add the comments without a TW. I’m hoping to prevent that) Gravity by Clark Beckham with her is amazing & full of spirit if you need a lift after that 💜 Absolutely loved your reaction

I absolutely love this young man's reaction! I'm shocked at his wisdom and insight. Love it. As for the question, I fight for things I want. I fight to keep something worth keeping. When my ex-husband cheated and the female created a fake page and reached out to our daughter to find out information (pretended she was a young guy trying to date her), I simply said (when he walked in the door and "couldn't look me in my eyes"), 'The next time you tell a woman we aren't together, you won't be lying. I'm done with you!!!' The next month, me and my children were out of there (even without enough money to go). That was 3 years ago. Trust me, I fully understand what Yebba was expressing here, but a person does not deserve a second chance to humiliate you, even if you give it to them.

I love your reaction. I’ve watched hundreds of reactions to this performance, and yours is one of my favorite. Very thoughtful. That line, i sure wont stay but i’ll be damned if i ever leave, that makes me think shes saying I’m not staying with you but I’ll never be a quitter, like he’s just done. He emotionally quit a good relationship with her.

This song got me through the darkest days of my life... As a man, my wife of 20 yrs stepped out of our marriage and had an affair. After 3 small children. It destroyed me as a man. My confidence, my trust, my joy, my peace and security... I fought for 7 years and through her multiple affairs to save my family. If not for our children, honestly I would have given up and walked away. But because I wanted my children to see miracles and know that God is capable of ANYTHING, I stayed, prayed, and fought on my knees. It's been 7 long years, and we're currently separated by her choice, but I still believe in miracles. Yes it takes two to decide what they want, and I have no guarantees that she will change... but I know that my children will see and know that dad never gave up. Dad never quit on mommy. And he trusted God to carry him through the darkness no matter how bad it seemed... right or wrong I don't know... but that's how I'm handling it... for them.

The line "I sure won't stay but I'll be damned if I leave" interprets very differently for me. If I get cheated on, I'm not staying. But I am leaving because I say I am leaving, not because he's getting rid of me for her. But BECAUSE he wants to move her in, I'll be damned if he thinks I am leaving. So, I'll leave when I am good and ready because I'll be damned if he can MAKE me leave.
@bbygrlbritt3 жыл бұрын
I always interpret it as I’m now physically staying with you, but I’ll never leave your mind, the pain you caused me will never ever leave you, you will always remember me and what you did to me. She will haunt him in essence.

When I heard that like I interpret it as she’s basically saying like I’m leaving because you got me messed up with your cheating but if you call me or text I’d be damned if I ever leave . Kinda like how ppl always run back to their ex or if their exes call them or text them they always get reeled in.

I love how this can mean different things to different people...to me, it seems like she's saying, I sure won't stay (physically leaving his dumb ass) but, I'll be damned if I ever leave (this alone...this ain't going away, buddy) she's dwelling on it in her "mind" and hey that's how good revenge plots get put together. just sayin

She is torn, mentally, emotionally and i think she is going to kill him and then herself. I can't stay, but I'll be damned if i ever leave and let you be with that bytch that got you so damned"hypnotized"! Can you imagine getting a "shocking" message from your man about another woman from his lips to your ears, WHILE HE IS ASLEEP? NO, it wasnt from a gf, you didn't see it for yourself, God sent you a message from his lips to your ears, it doesn't get any clearer than that! I love your reaction bc you peeped game at the gate!
