Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge

Highlight of the Great Ocean Road tour near Melbourne, Australia. The Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge are amazing rock formations off of the southern Australian coast. Formerly known as the "Sow and Piglets", these limestone rock formations are constantly changing thanks to the harsh erosion from the sea. Loch Ard Gorge gains its name from a vessel (the Loch Ard) that wrecked there in 1878, killing 52 of her 54 passengers and crew.
