Tati Foot Ninjer! The bands toured together once and became friends. She said in an interview that she immediately said yes before even hearing the song after they called to ask. My interpretation of the video is he just had either a stroke or brain aneurysm, and these are the last thoughts fading from his mind before he dies. If you'll notice he is lying sprawled on the floor in his tennis clothes when the music starts. His juice blender is spraying, the TV is on and he had probably just finished a piece of toast with Vegemite when the aneurysm struck and he collapsed to the floor. That's why Tati's words make no sense at the end and his head explodes. Just my interpretation though.
@battlewolf5783 жыл бұрын
The sayings in the video are similar to the lights are on but nobody is home, implying someone who is not all there. His head exploding was actually him just having his mind blown by the realisation that he is not all there

Tatiana's words of wisdom e.g. "driveway does not meet road" and "the wheel spins, hamster dead" are all Australian expressions meaning "he's not very bright" or "the lights are on but nobody's home." He ponders this for 40 years...and as he comes to the realization his head explodes. Moral of the story? Administer Vegemite sparingly.

How *compelling* is this video though?! o_O This is an excellent, humorous, absurdist, feature-film quality, look into weird dreamscape. Amazing. Cool wee tune too. Kin & Tatiana's voices complimented each other really well imho. That chorus is *really* hard to get out of your head, & the orchestration towards the end is beautiful. I appreciate anyone who's proud to show their FaithNoMore/MrBungle influences, & TFN do that really well while being very much their own thing. :)

HAHAHA I subbed! Great reaction. Never heard of TFN before this song myself. Tatiana caught my eye and I’m so glad they did this song. I get emotional every time I hear it and like most of Jinjer’s songs as well. And chills too…. What I was super happy about is how they used her voice and not just smatterings of it in the song. My understanding is TFN has worked with Jinjer in concerts in the past but I don’t know for sure. Anyway great reaction and I’ll keep watching. Btw I too sang with it the first time I heard it. It’s very catchy and the lyrics are easy to follow. Just love it.

This was such a strange visual experience with a great "catchy" song. Like you said it has a wonderful distinct hook musically, but the video reminded me of a 70's era (acid trip) Rock video which was entertaining & suspenseful. I really liked it & found myself wanting Tatiana to become the Boss Monster but she mostly showcased her (spooky) cleans with just a hint of a growl. Not disappointed vocally at all as she can do anything and you just never know what is next except entertaining skills. Tatiana brought this production up a level with her participation and unpredictable talent 👏 Great take on this one & I also agree... Don't put your finger in that door slot! Definitely not.
