Why did it take so long for me to discover this band and this song??? Hands down the best metal song of all time in terms of structural complexity, instrument playing skills, vocals, and engineering. Rarely are musicians so accomplished in multiple playing styles that they can fuse together pounding metal riffs with melodic jazz and pull it off the way TFN does in this song. On top of that they meld their unique, incomparable musical style with an open and unafraid sense of humor that makes their videos so wildly entertaining. They should have twice as many followers, but I guess many new fans are still waiting to discover them late as I did. Unquestionably awesome!!! PLEASE TOUR THE US AGAIN!!!

Love the shit out of this band. Not only uniquely talented musicians but have a brotherhood that transcends what most other music doesn’t.

[Intro] Now put your money Where your mouth is You have the method But will you move mountains? This has become quite a vehicle With no room for aggrandized egos You have adapted to the role Your portrayal betrays your soul Wherever you may go May your heart remain your home [Verse 1] I can see the sequence Trans-human influence I maintain observance Focused on radiance You remain in silence Language omniscient I renounce the violence Devoid of intelligence [Chorus] They backed you into the corner Provoked your will From the brink Your return to them stronger Hear it when you’re willing The sound of one hand killing [Post-Chorus] You are being hunted Subject to summoning a landslide You have adultered the altar Of a faceless Serpentine-coil of a riddle As you can imagine They are pulling every last stop You will not falter You offer to the people consistently Caught in the middle [Bridge] I’ll send for you When the coast is clear (How long will I be waiting, waiting)(x2) Climbing up to the top Gonna meet you there (How long will I be waiting, waiting)(x2) For you!! [Verse 2] Up on your feet Darling dear May the gods guide you right back here Without you here It’s not home May you find what you’re looking for An inner peace The infinite May it burn through your deepest fear Without punch There’s no show May you hold them accountable [Chorus](x2) They backed you into the corner Provoked your will From the brink Your return to them stronger Hear it when you’re willing The sound of one hand killing

KZbin in its infinite wisdom recommended this to me about 2 years back now. At the time I was going through one of the lowest moments of my life, it got better thank goodness. But at the time it was some seriously heavy shit and for the first time in life I was genuinely vulnerable. No lie, when this came on, I laughed for the first time in what seemed like years, And when I laughed I really laughed, these lads brought me something that day, They never knew they’d do that for someone half a world away, I never knew they existed. But we met halfway at the right time, cheers you fucking legends. You moved mountains that day.

5 years later I stumble upon this autistically outstanding masterpiece....how? Intro cracked me up and I wasn't expecting the track to be so damn creative. That riff is killer.

Honestly you guys are absolutely bloody brilliant! The serious parts are serious; the silly parts are silly, and everything blends and moves together so perfectly and beautifully. And all done in a unique and creative way. Proper talent is what this is. Can't wait for the new album. I'll be watching the bloody grass grow in the meantime. Cheers! 🤘

The first time i saw this I thought the beginning was kind of a random joke, but they are commenting on how people seem to evaluate each other and themselves based on busy-ness and productivity and 'the sound of one hand clapping' is a Zen thing which is basically the antithesis to the hyper-productivity mindset. Brilliant!
@JonathonSantiago9 жыл бұрын
Absolutely brilliant as per usual. Well done Twelve Foot Minger!

I was today years old when I noticed the bass on the "serious" side is a Warwick. I've been playing one of those for almost 20 years now, and I still get excited to see them in the wild! And it helps when it's at the hands of one of my very favorite bands. Rock on, djentlemen.
