Aki, Kenya is beautiful. Love the Synergy b'twn old and new technology. Sometimes even tech can't reciprocate nature and alot miss that fact. Having said, Any modern country that still believes in bloodline anointing for its leadership is more archaic than even communism. I can't understand the fascination with royalty, they all belong in museums, but I guess some differ in opinion.

Maybe you could have tasted pure natural carbonated water (munyu) in kirinyaga central and visit the basin like land in upper parts of Kagumo town.

This Castle is the PERFECT tourist attraction. If the Princess was actually here, when she was pronounced Queen following the passing of her father who was the King of England, then I can see a lot of people wanting to visit this place. In fact this building and its environs should be a national treasure and a huge attraction to foreigners and locals alike. Kerinyaga County could be making a lot of money marketing this place as a tourist haven. At the Queen’s Silver, Diamond and Platinum Jubilees, this place should have been highlighted by the Kenyan ministry of tourism while congratulating the Queen on the occasion of each jubilee. Kenya is a member of the commonwealth and should use all connections to the Queen to its advantage. This is the perfect connection to her Majesty.

The person who thought it was a good idea to have donkeys commerically slaughtered for meat to export to China should think twice. Donkeys in African culture are not meant for consumption but play a vital role as transportation all over the country from lamu to all corners of the country. I just hope we treat donkeys humanally and not mistreat them. And the govt should not dilly dally about whether to slaughter donkeys for commercial purposes. We can not just throw away traditions because there is money to be made. Some things are just sacrosanct
