Maybe you could react and analyze the livestream show they did, you will be able to understand the dema correlation more! It was incredible. Btw your interpretation of Formidable is so good, you might be onto something

Redecorate is about a friend of Tyler's whose son unfortunately passed and whether they should Redecorate or leave everything in his room the way it was.

Something interesting is that Mulberry Street is the favorite song for Lisden. On the Livestream him Literally says that, so i think maybe certain parts are verses for the bishops and others just for Tyler or the banditos. But the fact that Lisden likes the song makes it really interesting. On No Chances maybe is for Clancy and The Bishops, but specially for the Clancy's Bishop, i mean, who work on his control. And the information is the Clancy's letters, thing that was deleted on the page of Dema and then replaced for the statement from Dema's consuls.

A lot of great interpretations! Acceptance - wow, I never thought about these songs from that perspective. You are so good at generalising the whole album ideas! I should say that I have no one to discuss the album with so the people on the internet like you help me not to feel alone and to experience the music along with somebody else. Thank you for that!

Thank you so much for your amazing comment! I approach the analysis portions of my videos in the manner that I do, for that purpose specifically. Growing up, I loved the idea of showing friends some of my favorite songs in hopes of seeing how they felt about it, and hearing their thoughts on the subject matter and whatnot. Often times, it didn't work out though, as we didn't listen to the same music so the interest just wasn't there. So at some point, in doing these reactions, I thought it would be cool to just speak my mind about what I hear in the songs, how I interpret the lyrics, and it could feel like a discussion for those who care about the music in that way. Seeing a comment like yours just makes my day!

Saw it right after reacting to this 😀 I found it awesome. It's clear that they put in a lot of work with the various sets, the choreography, the setlist, the story; just so nicely executed, and such a pleasure to watch. I might make a video to talk about it a bit, I'm just not sure how I want to approach it yet (ie a review similar to my concert review, or something with a little more analysis).

Thank you for the kind words! 😀 These tøp albums tend to have really strong narratives developed through the various overarching themes that one could identify in listening to the album; it's so fun immersing oneself in all of that and sharing all the thoughts that come to mind following a first listen. It brings me great pleasure to share that experience with you, and to hopefully contribute to the interesting conversations that the music inspires amongst the fans.

always enjoy hearing what you have to say, matt! the way you draw connections from their lyrics and use their other music to build context is so insightful and refreshing!! thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@MFPReacts3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! 😀 There are so many connections to draw, the music can hit you in so many different ways, and there are so many things you can hear in it at any given time. That is a byproduct of good writing, but with tøp, I think it's also truly a testament to how consistent Tyler has been in providing context lyrically, musically, and visually. It makes making these videos so fun, and I love how reaction videos allow me to share the thoughts that come my mind after a single listen; it can be fun to see what one hears in a song without the influence of any other interpretations. I'm very happy if it results in content that is enjoyed; so thank you so much for the kind words!

This is such a great reaction! I enjoyed your comments about control. I took Good Day as kind of a response to Migraine, when he asks if he is going to let weather control your mood. Weather is something we can't control, so maybe an attempt to find something you can control in the uncontrollable. If that makes sense. The journey of "Good Day" to "Redecorate" really brought me back to the journey described in Ode to Sleep, especially with the denial in "Good Day" and the "I must have kicked them out" in Ode to Sleep. Anyway, fantastic reaction, loved it!
@MFPReacts3 жыл бұрын
Those are some really interesting connections! I definitely think control is one of the main themes of significant importance in this album. Attempting to find something you can control in the uncontrollable is a phenomenon that can be quite revealing. When feeling confused or unstable, we tend to try to find anything to cling on to, something that can help us feel grounded. I think we can really observe the effects of that by the time we get to the end of Verse 1 in No Chances, when he says "feet planted on grip tape"; it's like he's found what he felt he needed to go to war with the negative thoughts, and through the control he feels in that moment, and the resulting confort in his stability, he's exuding confidence that he's hoping will spread to the rest of his people. Awesome connection with the denial as well! Thanks for the kind words, and thank you for watching 😀

Haha yeah I prefer using headphones for a better listening experience, and generally I would sync the track with my footage during the editing process, but that would be brutal in an album reaction, so I used a splitter cable to run the audio through my headphones and guitar amp simultaneously 😂 Glad you enjoyed the reaction, thanks for watching!

Loved this reaction, don’t hate the question it’s not racism or regionalization or anything with negative thoughts behind it, but are you from Vancouver? Lol I’m a hockey fan I’m from buffalo Ny and that accent reminds me so much of Sam Reinhart and even some of Evander kane. Sorry for the terrible question man
@MFPReacts3 жыл бұрын
Glad you liked the reaction, thanks for watching! Kudos on prefacing that question with that disclaimer; I think it shows a level of care and mindfulness that is important in our day and age, and it reduces the likelihood that the comment could get taken out of context to perpetuate anything negative. Love it! I'm actually from Montreal! I'm honestly not sure where I get the accent from though; I speak French but my mother tongue is English, so I do not have that accent. I also don't really seem to have the somewhat Ontarian accent that seems to be a little more common in the english-speakers here. You're not the first person to think I'm from the West Coast (both Canada and USA actually lol). Habs fan here btw (I'm usually wearing a Habs hat in these videos actually, but nobody can really tell since I wear the hats backwards). Sorry about the whole mess with the Sabres this past season; hoping the whole situation with Eichel resolves itself well, and that you guys can bounce back and have a solid year next season.

@@MFPReacts I appreciate the kind words man and I’m pulling for you guys, I feel like we can mutually hate the leafs and get along just fine that way haha. The Sabres situation is rough, it’s made me appreciate the last few years of bills success to some level so much. I was always used to the Sabres being the playoff team and the bills being the let down. It’s been a nice change of pace. But definitely best of luck to the Habs!

@@ng3579 Thanks!! Our game was a little stale in a few of the earlier games following horrendous 2nd periods, but the team rallied and played their hearts out once their backs were against the wall. It made for some fun (albeit very stressful) games! Hoping they can maintain that intensity in the 2nd round.
