Watching this in 2019, it really shines through how much Tyler appears to dislike not having total control over the record. That boys got a vision he wants to push, and I think he knew that doing Vessel with this producer would give them good rep and he could push his idea later on.

Greg Wells has written for Adele, Grace VanderWaal, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa. He’s a very talented man and he is a songwriter. He may have HELPED with the writing of 21P but he didn’t write the entire thing. Songwriter/Producer is his job description.

4:05 Are these alternate vocal takes that didn't make it into the final track? This is for Vessel. But the Ode to Sleep that plays seems to have slightly different chorus vocals than I recognize. 4:14 Those BACKING vocals are reminiscent to the RAB version, but since this is for Vessel, I'm guessing they didn't make the final cut?
