Man I’m 17 years old and I have always had issues with my beliefs and finding faith, but I can say that no matter who listens to this music it will always touch souls in ways I can’t even explain. Twenty one pilots has done things for me that I’m positive no other musicians will ever be able to do, they’ve given me so much hope through their music.

Omg i just (a month later!) see your comment and it totally struck me. You are so right, he gathered lost souls with compassion. You said it so beautifully well. Touched my heart ❤. That's how i feel about myself and that's what i feel he's done. However I'm not Christian so i don't feel that angle but i do feel like a "lost soul" that he's touched (as he has so many others, some Christian and some nonreligious) and he's gathered us into a community with loving arms. When i first discovered TOP i heard that the "clique" was especially united and die-hard but didn't understand. Now i get it as i have met some incredible cliquees and there's this "understanding" that i just can't explain. And as i chat with other clique commenters on reactions, several times the reactor pops into the convo and says they appreciate seeing us convo eachother and that they have not seen that with other fanbases. Anyway, loved your comment.

Great reaction again! I’m probably one of the people who has commented asking for songs you’ve already done - sorry about that, I’ve now watched every TØP reaction you’ve done and it’s been lovely to see you falling in love with the band as much as we all did at one time! You’re so right, this band is extremely powerful and have helped so many people, including me and my kids - and I’m so pleased my children have picked such great role models in the industry to follow. Great idea starting at the beginning - I feel the music and sometimes the message does develop as you go through the albums, this one has far more obvious Christian themes and I think this is less obvious as you progress - although still definitely there. Mental health remains a very obvious theme that remains throughout. To me, the lyrics certainly get more complex, especially when Blurryface is introduced and then eventually to their (almost) fully conceptual album Trench. I know a lot of TØP fans love their earlier music - as I also do, it feels more ‘free’, almost without the pressures that come when a band becomes as big as they have and have to try and keep old fans/new fans/label etc all happy - it must be a constant struggle. I also love their later music as well though - I think their development as musicians and both Tyler’s writing and vocals have become next level, while staying true to who they are. That alone deserves massive respect - and I think it’s down to their Faith, their families/friends and also the fans - it shows huge strength of character in my opinion! If you get the chance, please check out some of their interviews or other online work to get an idea who they are as people! The stories of how they met are hilarious - they change it up each time and the ‘first meetings’ have gotten more outlandish each time they tell it! From meeting through EBay when trying to sell matchbox cars, to meeting on Tinder, to meeting on the Mall when one worked in A+F!!! There are 10+ of these online and are very funny. Tyler does not suffer fools gladly - has a very ‘unique’ sense of humour that I love and Josh just seems like the most wholesome human ever! (It still baffles me to this day that he’s married to a famous actress and now lives in LA!) Anyway, apologies for the rambling, loving your reactions and God Bless. X

this song is crazy b/c there's so many meanings it could be, but i think the last verse is basically about someone being saved and finding the light - you're spot on about the trinity i believe as well - the last verse is just a masterpiece you'll notice a lot of their music uses a car as a metaphor or a symbol this album is their first album (and actually before Josh joined) - if you're starting on this album (you've already done Addict with a Pen), but i'd recommend: - Fall Away (there is a live version with Dr. Blum that is awesome, but lyrics are harder to understand) - March to the Sea

My interpretation is that religion helped him find meaning in his life and it kept him from taking his own life. I’m not really the religious kind of person but I know how it helps people get through tough times and preaches love and acceptance and I respect that.

Hey cool video! I believe that Tyler tells the gospel, especially in the rap part. He's in a hearse with two other people (Could be God the Father and the Holy Spirit). But then it rans out of gas and the two persons take another road, plus another car. They change from the hearse to a taxi cab, so it's not going towards Tyler's (I suppose) funeral anymore but towards home (probably heaven, also because of what the persons say) and now there is a third person (Jesus, the only one that could make that happen). In the taxi cab Tyler's box (probably a coffin because of the hearse at the beginning) opens, because someone "picked the lock" (probably Jesus again, because of his sacrifice). The rest is clear.. Just one more thing, "sun" can also mean "son", I think there's a double menaing there ;) The first of your videos that I watched and I liked it very much ^^ Greetings from Germany

Yeah the beginning albums contain more religious message. So best to do older stuff. I believe that their newest album TRENCH does not have such Christian message, it's about mental health (like Neon Gravestones). And the prior album BLURRYFACE is like a combination of God AND psyche. So most of the earlier music is what hits with your channel. I could be wrong but that's what i think.

I actually think that Trench is about Tyler’s struggle maintaining the faith. So I’m that sense some of it is about his Christianity, but more on the side of him wondering what that still means to him. He still calls himself a Christian but found himself with more questions during the tour for Blurryface. He says that in his interview with Zane Lowe from Beats 1 when Trench dropped. You should watch it, it’s a great interview
@testimusicali6445
@testimusicali6445 3 жыл бұрын
@@willnordt6691 was that the interview in Tyler's basement/studio? Let me know cause I'd hate to have missed an interview. Yeah i hear you about his struggle with faith. You see that with the progression of his music. I don't remember details of that interview but> a whole lot of pain and guilt and fear over those religious doubts, more so in the past than trench, now that he's increasing his mental health platform. Regarding trench dema/bishops/vialism story yeah it's not JUST mental health/suicide as advertised. (Did i miss that interview? Was it the basement interview? I gotta look that up.) There's those religious threads in dema. Still struggling. Did you hear the discord interview where he talks about the Vialism's ultimate goal is suicide? When i heard that i thought oh wow has he moved further with the religious struggle, so dark to pair psych tragedy with religion. What's that about. BUT at the same time song Morph speaks of faith in a positive manner, so what's your opinion about that? What i also found interesting relating to his religious place, is that he used zoroastrianism traits (vultures and tower of silence) as part of the storyline. That really confused me to use aspects of an ancient nonchristian religion. (I believe zoroastrianism was nonchristian?) Tell me what you think and tell me of that interview> basement? If not i gotta find it.
