He's saying "drop" of water - this is an older song before Josh (drummer) was even there - I think the over arching theme is Tyler is trying to hold on to his faith (water) while fighting through his life You should definitely do Car Radio Ode to Sleep Trees (Live from Fox Theater)

song is talking about losing faith and trying to seek God for help and forgiveness, he is tired of being drained and lost and seeking God wanting to helped and saved. Tyler Joseph is a huge christian and have a good faith towards God.

Trees is a short, simple song directed to God. It's their end of concert finale and for those of us who were in line before sunrise to get down to the barricade and it's now near 11pm and all your energy is GONE.. this song just replenishes everything you spent to get to that point. It's amazing for a song that has like literally 3 lines. Sometimes direct and to the point is all you need.

Interesting that you mentioned how a person can’t be summed up by the first thing you see them as. Tyler, the singer/songwriter was an exceptional basketball player but turned to music as he needed to deal with the hard things in life. His transparency has helped lots of kids voice what they experience and many claim the band has saved their lives. So many songs to explore. How about HeavyDirtySoul next? And I recommend getting the lyrics in front of you while you listen!

I like these guys because they are intentionally not pushy about their faith or beliefs. But they still let it affect their music because it is a major part of who they are. They've said before that goal isn't to get you to think a certain way but to begin thinking. Their self-titled album with this song is full of songs about God. The later albums are more mixed. But their self-titled album is mostly and clearly God referenced to point of obviousness (most songs). You'll love those songs. My favorite is ISLE OF FLIGHTLESS BIRDS. And if you do go with this advice and from that album ever react to MARCH TO THE SEA let me give you a spoiler- the spaceship is God. Okay on that note, I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for your next TOP video!!

If you want to take a trip in the Way Back machine. Tyler Joseph, the lead singer put out an album of just him in high school. I don't usually recommend the really old stuff to start out. But it will give you a much better understanding of where Tyler is coming from and that every twenty one pilots song is a Christian song if you look at it close enough. The album was called No Phun Intended. He wrote it his senior year of high school. The first time he ever picked up any instrument was age 16, a cheap electronic keyboard in the back of his closet someone had once given as a Christmas gift. When you hear what he was creating just a couple years later. You will understand that Tyler is not merely talented. He has a gift. And he's meant to share it with the world. You may find it beneficial to have lyrics ready before you begin your videos with these guys. It will make it a lot easier to connect some of the concepts together additionally, a lot of their songs involve pretty fast rapping and you will absolutely need them or you'll miss so much.
