MY THEORY Scene 1: Mina The one where Mina is at the crime scene is looking at a donut filled with blood, the one where the blood emits a little sparkle It's like you've been sick until you get hurt but still shine Scene 2: Nayeon can be seen from the look on her face that she is a little sad, as if she is feeling tired or sad to see someone. She wants to be close to someone else. Scene 3: Sana looks like she doesn't care about anything around her except paying attention to someone in front of her Scene 4: Dahyun who misses someone, and feels it like a shot And continued Jihyo, who was hit by the shot and fell on a white sand that felt soft The essence of the theory this time is that 9 members feel close to someone but that person is just their imagination, I am, and the members feel different things in every way. What they feel is heartache, hurt, comfort, sadness, but that's just their imagination.

My take on this is that the missing part (Twice logo on the bitten part) means Twice ending the "love loop (lyrics)," which means breaking up with that person. As Chaeyoung sang, "I have no intention of going back." Twice ballads/rnb just hits differently. And what I also love about this is the choreo isn't awkward or out of place, I mean, you don't usually expect any choreo for a ballad/slow song.

That is how you do throwback song with a modern spin. Their voices have never sounded better. They always surprise me with their Japanese releases. But this is a great song hands down. It's right up there with The best thing i ever did. Which is my favorite holiday song from them. Cactus is my favorite song from them this year. It's so haunting and bright at the same time. Flawless is the only word that comes to mind when i hear that song.

Yeah TWICE release 6 comebacks this year alone (Kura kura, Alcohol-Free, Perfect World, The Feels, SCIENTIST, and Doughnut) and if we add up all a total of 40 songs and to what i love is that none of them sound the same, their versatility is insane and amazing im proud of them as an artists DOUGHNUT is tragic and sad (*love, jealousy, obsession and poison/m*rd*r) The Doughnut is a metaphor, the guy represents the doughnut and in the first scene (crime scene at the doughnut shop) with mina that the doughnut is bleeding on the floor *(basically they m*rd*r or poisoned the guy) so to my theory is that he was dating all of them at the same time without them knowing, so here comes the jealousy All of the girls found out and get jealous also if you have noticed that all of them met him at the doughnut shop except mina so mina maybe is his last relationship and later was found on the crime scene (doughnut shop) (just like doughnut it shows their love is like a loop and it happened to all of them and that there is no beginning and end) All of them said that they have constantly missed him... the scene of tzuyu in the phone box where she said that “even when we’re not together, we stay linked i want to immerse myself in the afterglow of our memory” another hint where Sana also said “i love you” while sitting across the table but no one is there. Also when momo stared at to nothing but when the man was about to leave she felt something (so I think they are imagining him that he still alive??) Yet we still don’t know who likely successfully m*rd*r him *Sana on the doughnut shop where she is pouring coffee to the cup of man (most likely poisoning him??) *Dahyun eating doughnut and then it bleed it represents also of poisoning him The scene where mina and Chaeyoung together where Chaeyoung put the angel clip with a heart to mina, jihyo with a white dress that has a heart (represents the angel clip) and she’s slowly bleeding.... so they all have one thing in common that they have slowly hurted by him So in the last part where they all met up and the snow is going up, just like a doughnut it’s loop and it will happen again unless someone bite it or broke it Also in the end where the tape is rewinding it also hinted that it will happen again and then it stopped at where mina was found in the doughnut shop looking at the bleeding doughnut and crying Idk but that’s my idea to this

honestly, I smiled when I was watching the mv then I watched again and realized story wise that they might have been in a toxic relationship that they couldn't get out of. my only theory is that Dahyun "killed" the donut in order to escape the loop.

I know man!!! Twice never disappoint another day another banger! Actually, the day of the release is 15th December (which is also my birthday 😂) but with Japanese releases we always get the mv a week or so before the day of the release. But I'm still waiting for another song on 15th (I'll consider that as my birthday gift 😂) because that's what happened with Kura Kura we got the mv and then on the day of the release we got Strawberry Moon which is another banger 😭.

Aside from the hole metaphor (a hole in my heart in the shape of you), there is also the loop metaphor (donut shape) or in this case love-loop metaphor. The loop metaphor is explained a lot in the chorus (Just like a doughnut, I've wondered into this love loop. No beginning, no end.) How does it relate to the dead doughnut (RIP)? Listen to the background sounds at 4:33. It's the sirens again. When Dahyun took a bite of that doughnut, the doughnut is no longer complete. The love-loop at this point is already broken. So why is it dead? "I can't live, if living is without you ...Harry Nilson" JK, that's from another song, but you get the point. LOL

As strong as their Korean Title tracks are so strong. Their Japanese Title tracks are showing their on another level. Perfect World is still my favorite from them this year. But Doughnut is a strong 2nd. Without a doubt they have been my alt group this year. They can do no wrong in my book. Chaeyoung is still my alt bias in kpop. And Liz from Ive is now in my top 10. My theory is a little interesting: Mina: At the start of the music video Mina is with the donut where the jelly donut has a bite in it as well as the jelly coming out as blood im guessing? Nayeon: shes looking for donuts to share with her friends cause shes lonley and needs someone to love her. Sana: Shes with the man too start off with shes poaring him some coffee or tea and hes looking away from her. but in that scene theres the Television in the back and in mina's scene theres the same television Momo: She also has the man and shes also the caring one but he leaves her its like its in the past and he keeps switching to other people. Dahyun: The jealous one thats why she took a bite of the donut which I think is the guy I think there making it be the guy and shes jealous of the other girls. Tzuyu: Shes also with the guy in the music video too and shes talking to him on the phone. Jihyo: In the scene where she is making a snow angel theres another snow angel maybe she made that snow angel with him? Chaeyoung and jeonyeon: They dont look like they really do anything with the realationship but... chaeyoung and jeonyeon look like they connect in the story cause I'm pretty sure there in the same scene. Back too mina: in the words mina says just like a donut like a ever lasting loop and then changes too momo Its like its back in time? also in the last scene where mina cries the television is on and the people on the television are them shes crying cause of the guy and dosent know what happend. that is my theory super long haha :D love ur reactions :) bye!
