@@xKelaino i think you might know this by now, but you can lit the torch by holding it and touching one of those torch decorations (some other stuff also lit the torch too), and there is always a torch decoration where yang spawns so you don't need the lamp if you have a torch

I think the frog suit deserves to be on the amazing tier, it makes swimming underwater much faster and it changea your jump animation.

Yeah climbing gloves can be good but sometimes if you jump and try to grab something next to a wall you can whip the item instead which can be deadly with a powerpack and can break ghost pot

I think the Skeleton Key would be better if there were locked chests that could occasionally spawn in levels with a key spawned somewhere else, and they would contain a large amount of gems almost like a vault chest. Would add a bit more variety to the game as another mini-objective.

Months ago, I was about to give up on me beating spelunky 2, and on the last run for the day I opened a crate and a plasma cannon popped out. I Died on 1-4 but it was such a empowering and inspiring experience that i ended up playing the rest of the day and ended up making it to tide pool. Thanks to twiggle, a Couple days ago I finally beat tiamat and now plan to make it to CO. Edit: it’s been a while… I haven’t cleared Cosmic ocean yet, but after almost a year of daily attempts I had much difficulty getting past 7-10. Yet, today however, something clicked and I ended up making it to 7-59, only dying because a dumb mistake. But I’m now confident I can make it within a month.

Feel like the necessary items should mostly be evaluated based on how good they are for other purposes, for instance udjat eye is nice for ankh skip if you don't have spectacles and excalibur makes for a passable weapon. Also mounts are basically items anyway, right?

I do think the bow has an actual niche though. If you hate the pitchers mitt, you can use the bow as basically a controllable way to shoot projectiles straight. The arrow has a small hit box, but it still has a good use. The arrow sticking to walls is cool too

Maybe not that much... an immunity to the next two or three times might be better for game balance than complete nullification. It would add some inventive to going temple, since CO poison/curse is run ending sometimes. Three poison/curse saves would be super good, arguably better than the ankh in some cases

that's extremely op. Maybe it prevents one/two curse/poisons you'd get, but a complete immunity is insane. Alternatively, it could be like a delayed health. It'd give like 2 health each time you end a level for like 5 levels, so it'd be great for the chain as you'll be able to get health right after you die.

You should reconfigure the list to tier's more apparent with your terms, with chain items being moved to their own tier or not ranked based on being chain items and instead based on their practical value apart from being chain items. Also I get that this video is kind of a meme but just a suggestion to give people more clarity with item's actual value. Example: -Amazing/Web Gun -Really Good -Good -Chain Items or Useful if not ranking items based on them being chain items -Meh/Niche Use Items -Useless/Bad Items -Lantern

It doesn't, you get cured when you get a sacrifice reward from Kali for 16 favor or above. Often this reward is jelly, and curing curse replaces the normal reward with nothing, so this is often confused.

It just feels so poorly thought out at the moment expecally since it shows up so early in temple (the main place where you would get a status effect). I would just enjoy it so much if I didn't feel like I was delibretly deciding to lose everytime I go to temple.

Maybe not permanent immunity, but 2-4 charges would be nice. Maybe 1 charge for poison, 2 for curse, or use a charge for health (maybe a keybind for it?) or just make it an accessory that auto activates when poisoned, cursed, or at 1 health x amount of times

Maybe it would work kind of like Kapala where an icon would go next to your health, and every time you would have gained a status the icon goes down until it's fully used up. Then it would be a lot more useful without just removing the threat of status entirely.

For the Infinity Gauntlet... Here's a possible quest for it. [SPOILERS FOR THE GAME] [WALL of LISTS] [OP OMG PLZ NERF] *Bosses in the game should give you a Stone each:* 1) Olmec - Power Stone (basic) 2) Osiris - Soul Stone (your soul travels to his realm of the dead souls) 3) Alien Queen - Mind Stone (she literally tries to kill you with her mind) 4) Tiamat - Reality Stone (her red projectiles spawn creatures into reality) 5) King Eggplant (Or the Ghost Empress grave) - Time Stone (they are things of the past) 6) Hundun - Space Stone (it's a world egg from a myth) Then if the last level of the Cosmic Ocean (7-99 or 7-98?) happens to be a Neo-Babylon level, there would be a secret background layer - accessible only using the Skeleton Key due to a lack of any other keys in the Ocean - with a scene of a crushed space ship. You'll go inside it (like you can go inside Ana's ship). There you'll find an Infinity Gauntlet on a hand of a purple corpse. There will be an animation of discovery and Stones fitting in their slots and then you'll take the Gauntlet and teleport into the lobby. Since that there will be a pedestal near the Dungeon Entrance which will contain the Infinity Gauntlet. You'll be able to interact with it ("Take") and then it'll appear as a starter item. It'll be basically a cheat item for fun but to use it you'll need to gather the Stones from the bosses anew every time (so one run to get the Stones, next run is with the Gauntlet). *It'll remove your whip, bombs and ropes as mechanics and give you these effects. You will start with 99 hearts and most active use powers will consume a heart.* 1) Pressing Bomb button will act like the Mattock. 0HP consumption _[Power Stone]_ 2) Holding and releasing Bomb button will shoot a Plasma Cannon projectile which wont deal any damage to the player who spawns it. It will hurt other players, followers, mounts or calm NPCs. It will have the same recharge time as the Plasma Cannon. _[Power Stone]_ 3) Pressing Rope button will teleport you like the Teleporter does but safely - it'll spawn you only in a safe location. Range constraints will stay (8 blocks but the safety feature might move you to the nearest free no-fall-damage space). It'll automatically teleport you away in the moment a one-hit-kill should've occurred (Long Spikes, Bear Traps, Crush Blocks, Falling Blocks, Pop Tiles, Telefrags, Witch Sculls, Arrow of Light etc). Saving feature will have a recharge time. _[Space Stone]_ 4) Holding and releasing Rope button will enable flight like with the Hover Pack but in all directions. Pressing it again disables the effect. _[Space Stone]_ 5) Pressing Whip button will spawn a seeking one-hit-kill projectile like that of the Scepter but that projectile will turn its target into dust (no corpse!) and will immediately disappear. It'll never target players, followers, tamed mounts or calm NPCs. It'll do 10 damage to bosses and will have special behavior for Olmec floaters (will target both of them) and Space Orbs (don't know what's best). 0.2HP consumption _[Infinity Gauntlet]_ 6) Holding and releasing Whip button will "time"-freeze everything - including traps, arrows mid-flight, explosions mid-way and so on. You'll be able to move, fly and teleport but nothing else. Pressing it again disables the effect. _[Time Stone]_ 7) You'll jump 1 tile higher than with the Spring Boots with a purple jumping effect. 0HP consumption _[Power Stone]_ 8) You'll have a constant Steel Shield pushing effect with frontal immunity to lava but without crushing ability. It won't interfere with pick-ups at all. 0HP consumption _[Power Stone]_ 9) You'll have an Alien Compass effect. 0HP consumption _[Mind Stone]_ 10) You'll have an ability similar to Skeleton Key's but it'll say "Rip" the door instead of "Open" the door. _[Power Stone]_ 11) You'll have Glasses effects. 0HP consumption _[Mind Stone]_ 12) You'll have an infinite amount of Ankh-like rebirths. They will restore your heart count. 0HP consumption _[Time Stone]_ 13) Curse and Poison effects will be cured during level transitions. This won't kill a cursed player because the curing will take precedence. _[Soul Stone]_ 14) Dark level effect will be disabled, but Dark level layouts will still appear. 0HP consumption _[Mind Stone]_ 15) Ball and Chain will have no effect on you. 0HP consumption _[Power Stone]_ 16) Ghost, while appearing normally, will have no effect on you, but your followers and mounts won't be safe. Same will go for Space Jellies but they still will block you from using the exit. 0HP consumption _[Soul Stone]_ 17) Portal will spawn immediately after killing Hundun by any means. _[Space Stone]_ 18) Choosing "Instant Restart" on any level will restart that exact level like a reroll. _[Reality Stone]_ 19) Taking items from shops wont trigger Shopkeeper Anger as if they hadn't noticed. It'll also work on Dice (stealing them for a sacrifice) and the Ghist. 1HP per item _[Reality Stone]_ 20) You can change Hired Hand's appearance when opening the coffin to that of any character. _[Reality Stone]_
