Just found your channel today. I know how hard it is to learn an RPG at the same time as solo-ing it on video. You’re doing great!

Thank you 😁

A good start, look forward to the rest. Glad I found these, thank you, real useful as I was thinking of getting this version. Bit late to the party too, so I have some catching up to do on your videos. :)

Glad it was helpful! I’m recording today. I’m expecting my first massive battle it may end up over two episodes as combat can be quite long.

I've been looking at getting into 4E, since I'd always wanted to play the original game, but never got around to it. Thanks for the video showing how things work!

No problem at all. I put off starting this campaign quite a while as I got quite anxious about the crunchy nature of the rules but once you dig in it flows really naturally. You should definitely give it a go and let us all know how you got on. Good luck.

Thanks for the video! I picked this up earlier this year and have not had time to run it yet!

Glad you enjoyed it. Once you get going it’s an awesome system. I’ll have another coming out next Tuesday as the team continues to head west. Hopefully you can check that out too.

Credit card can be used to stop air release from a sucking chest wound. Smaller wound obviously or used in conjunction with another piece of plastic and tape if available.

Are those characters with a Big Dream of getting home have a chance to fulfil this goal and gain the extra experience or is it true that getting home basically ends the game? Also (#1), I bloody hate the Free League games that demand you choose a relationship with the other characters...bollocks, that should evolve during the course of play. Also (#2), I'm hearing that a lot of groups play as civilians; is that something included in the game or are players house-ruling? Crackin' video, as usual. Cheers.

So first not necessarily original T2K had a supplement for back home. At bit like when they got home in the Last Boat if you saw that. #1 I agree. #2 yeap we have two Civs that almost join in series 2 but the cards said no :)

If I remember correctly, at that time the US Marines didn't have medics. They were from the Navy
@HollowPondsSoloSagas6 ай бұрын
Hello. In fact the marines are part of the US navy. Doc is in the Army (as is Jane) and part of the army medical corps. 😁 I think in the navy medics are corpsmen. But yes in the 90s the marines did have corpsmen deployed with them not their own trained personnel.

Before I dive into this, I'm wondering if you use just the provided solo rules (which, as I understand, are very slight and meager), or you incorporate any other solo tools? GM, oracle, tables, etc?

Hello there thanks for stopping by. I use the rules in the referees manual plus some if not most of the rules by Peter Rudin-Burgess who is Parts Per Million (linked in the description) but I also lean into a touch of Mythic like interpreting and just making stuff up based upon what’s happening. Hope that helps? Let me know if you need more.

I’m starting a solo play with myself from then, unfortunately I was old enough then (24) to be roaming irradiated Eastern Europe in 2000. I was not a sniper then! I feel I’m going to die very quickly, although I/he is pretty technologically proficient before the draft.

Howdy, late to the party I know but just my thoughts on the fire fight. The L96A1 is a weapon for long range & too limited in its usefulness (as well as the scope being fragile with no iron sights) , any combat infantryman in the situation of the game would be highly reluctant to carry it & would instead opt for a general use weapon such as M4 or AK. Trying to use one on a target across a street is my case in point, it'd be no good, too close. I like your enthusiasm though, have just ordered the box set. 👍

:D thank you so things like the L96 should have a minimum range as well as a long range? I do get Staff to switch to a side arm later in the series but a lot of what you will hopefully see me do (keep watching :D) is based off things I've been told by mates who've been in and stuff I've read. Closest I got was almost joining the cadets when I was 12.

fyi, I tried clicking on your link to the 'Parts per million' and it was broken 404. Drivethru is in the process of rolling out a new website of which I have been using, so I'm not sure if that's why (I thought it would still let me see/use the older website, but perhaps not). Anyway, I found it so all good, just letting you know in case you need to fix the link. I look forward to watching this series. I've been trying to learn T2K and while I find the rules (mostly) easy to understand, there are just a LOT of rules to keep track of and that hurts my brain. Maybe if I start off solo it might help to take the pressure off. Thanks for this!

Hi. Thanks for letting me know I will look at that link. I held off playing for ages as I found the crunchy nature of the rules daunting but once you get going they gel together easily. I find just using what you need to start the easiest approach. But glad to have you with us on the voyage to the western border.
