@@CinemaEffect The reality was, he was too young to know what the film was really about. He dragged my husband along to the movie and they soon realised it wasn't really the right choice. The cinema was full of girls and young women. Go figure... ! I haven't seen it but I know roughly what it's all about.

Sorry but I still stand by my Katherine Hardwicke comment until I see Thirteen 🙏 Humble discussion that doesn’t aim to be on the popular spectrum of hate, and provide justifications like “reasonable men” for each of your ratings (Liam’s was somewhat anonymous 😂). Might bump the score up in future rewatches if the series gets worse. Although I’m not entirely convinced that will happen because it doesn’t change the fact that this is literally a Lifetime-quality movie disguised as a Hollywood production. Just as generic as any teen film, but even worse. Hence I might just be like any typical guy hating on this movie, but teenage girls screaming over Twilight being a masterpiece puts me off even more. At least we have the CE crew doing a fantastic job reviewing this film properly (except that I felt the cinematography looked far from filmic tho because 2008 films were still shot on celluloid anyways, and the color grading is shallow and atmospherically poo cos it only slaps on a disgusting blue filter), instead of just freak Twilight fanatics saying it’s the best film ever cos the people are in it hot. 11/10 episode
