Hey everyone, I know it’s been a while since I uploaded the last Twilight video (don’t hate me lol) but here’s my reaction/commentary to New Moon. It’s a wild one let me just say that. Also, apologies if the footage is a lil choppy of New Moon, I don’t know what happened but it gets better as it goes on! Thanks for watching, lemme know your thoughts. I love how all these movies seem to forget that Romeo and Juliet is a TRAGEDY. And that Romeo was super whiny and so not worth it. Also I can still remember watching this movie in theaters and cringing at the row of girls behind my friends and I that were screaming and losing their minds when Jacob took his shirt off. It's like they'd never seen a shirtless man before lol. Oh and I'm team Alice and Jasper because they're way more interesting than any of the main characters 😂

I am team Carlisle and Aro. Because they definitely were a thing. Aro who canonically sends vampires away for not being gifted enough keeps an ungifted vampire around for decades, if not centuries, and gives him a very expensive painting of him and the vampire kings together. (you can't tell me that random volturi guard #3 gets a portrait of him and his bosses to hang in his personal quarters) And then he basically sighs over Carlisle for half a page. They were a thing.

Bella didn’t use Jacob. It kind of seems like it in the movie but she made it clear several times that she doesn’t see him in that way, and he kept pushing. She only ever considered it for Jacobs happiness, not hers. She liked him like family but he manipulates her to the point where she thinks it would make her happy.

She did kind of use him. Yes, she does make her feelings clear... but she knew how she felt and she had to know where this would lead. Which isn't to say Jacob is innocent either. He was being emotionally manipulative too. Basically I think they were both using each other, and they both ended up getting hurt over it. Though in Bellas case it gave her protection while the Cullens were gone, so it was probably worth it.

I could never be team Jacob because it was so obvious that he was just an obstacle to the Edward/Bella relationship. It's like being on team Paris in Romeo and Juliet... getting on that ship is getting on a sinking ship. Nothing against Jacob in this story (though I have plenty against him in Eclipse).

spoiler for future movies in case anyone hasn't watched them. even when I watched these movies as a child before I could really understand the toxicity of all the relationships I couldn't stand Jacob (it might've been because I was a vampire girly instead of a werewolf girl) but as I got older and read the books and rewatched the movies Jacob just got worse for me. like yes Edward is toxic and is not someone you should want for yourself in real life but for the story he's the better choice like he never forces himself on Bella, doesn't really make her do anything she doesn't want to do, worries not only for her physical safety but for her soul and humanity as well, would leave the second she told him to, and actually wishes she'd tell him to leave and find someone better and safer than him. meanwhile Jacobs out here ignoring the fact that Bella told him she doesn't feel that way for him several times because he thinks that he can change her mind, kisses her without her consent, threatens to go into the battle in eclipse and get himself killed as a form of manipulation when he finds out Bella and Edward are engaged, he shames, belittles and makes Bella feel like she's stupid because she didn't pick him, threatens to kill her baby and her husband if anything happens to her in breaking dawn, and lets not even get into the whole Renesmee situation. And I'm in no way saying that Bella is completely innocent but I don't have the time to do a deep dive on that and I'm sure you wouldn't wanna read it lmao

People talking about Bella using Jacob, and she did, but they also fail to mention that Jacob in the books was manipulative, trying to make Bella be with him after threatening to go kill himself, assaulting her, and talking about how she didnt know what she wanted when she clearly tells him she would never choose in between them (him and Eddyboy) cuz Edward was the one, also, in the books i never considered Jacob a love interest for Bella, he was never on that lane for me and for Bella aparently too cuz she really didnt give a lot of thought for him in that aspect, (that i remember) i think she just saw him somehow as that kid that you gotta hang with because your parents are Friends with his parents, in contrast to the movies where he served as a glorified third wheel or whatever he was.

I think the fairest thing to say is that both Bella and Jacob used each other. It really was an incredibly toxic friendship. Bella does give Jacob some thoughs at the very end of Eclipse... but I don't think she did in the New Moon book. In the movie, she clearly was going to kiss him at 2 different points so I guess she was a bit more into Jacob in the movies. But I don't think she ever considered even for a second being with Jacob over Edward... in that regard it wasn't a true love triangle.

XD and i loved your reaction to this, it was really fun to see, welcome to #TeamJacob we're happy to have you XD as for your decision to not read all the books that's understandable as they do take a while to get through. However I would suggest at least reading the twilight saga Breaking Dawn book before doing reactions to both of those films as the book was far better than the film and there are quite a few things they changed in the films that are different in the book: character appearances, important details etc....so I highly recommend reading the breaking dawn book first before the films. Anyway again, i loved your reaction to this and i can't wait to see your reaction to The twilight saga: Eclipse :) hope you have fun with it! :D

In the book bella is actually in love with jake, but torn between them since eddie broke her heart, and shes not over him, but right before alice shows up shes gonna tell him how she felt then jake sniffs alice and they get into a fight and she leaves to find edward.

I will always be Team Edward because that's who Bella chose. period. Bella went to Jacob as a *friend* for comfort when she was going through a rough time and he took advantage of that for his own purposes, after she explicitly said no multiple times. now maybe there was one time where she was confused about her feelings and didn't own that but nobody's perfect. but afterward, she flat out told him that it's always been Edward. don't get me wrong, Bella can be hella annoying and isn't my favorite protagonist by any stretch of the imagination lol but if she chooses Edward then who am I to tell her she chose wrong? oh and as for the visions of Edward, that wasn't really Edward, that was Bella's imagination lol 😂trust me though, the movies only get better from here. can't wait for the next ones! 😍

Yeah, unlike a lot of love triangles I think Bella made her choice pretty clear the whole time. Jacob never really had a chance. Which is why it's sort of surprising that Team Jacob had such a strong following. Bella always wanted to be with Edward... that never waivered. Jacob at most would just be a consolation prize, and that's not fair to anyone.

Well, I know it's a little too late to be commenting this because this video came out so many years ago, but I have to say it anyway. You have to realize that Edward doesn't want Bella to be turned into a vampire. Him proposing at the end was an effort to stop it from happening or to delay it as long as possible. They're still in high school, they're not going to get married right now, so he's hoping for a couple more years, at least, in which to convince her to just be with him as a human. Plus, in the book, her mom basically scared her off of the idea of marriage, at least marrying young, her whole life, so the idea of saying yes to Edward is a legitimate concern for her and great way to stall her going forward with becoming a Vampire. 😊 Also, all those times Bella "saw & heard" Edward after he left, he wasn't there at all. Bella was hallucinating.

I think Jacobs abbs were 99% of the reason why team Jacob had the following it did. Yes, Edward did some questionble things but Jacob freaking sexually assaulted Bella in Eclipse... there's no comparrison there. Taylors adds aside, I think part of the reason some might have supported Team Jacob is because Meyers made Jacob out to the the "fun" one. Edward never does anything apart from taking Bella to the freaking meadow. If Meyers bothered trying to have have Edward and Bella do something fun even once or twice in the books, I don't think team Jacob would be even half as big.
