Twilight Over Los Angeles - 8K

Twilight as seen over Los Angeles is a special time where the enormous skyscraper's hidden beauty is revealed by the city lights coming alive to fend off the nearing darkness of night . When our sun hides behind the horizon just after the usually warm colored Magic Hour, the phases of Twilight create a fast-changing cool hued iridescent ambiance that illuminates the sky as last light fades away. The harsh contrast of day is lessened, the buildings begin to shimmer, and the rooftops take on the blueish color found in the atmosphere above. For a few moments the turbulent current of this buzzing city feels a bit more serene.
This is a personal aerial piece filmed from a helicopter during all phases of Twilight in one evening in large format RED 8K VV. Best watched in full screen in 8K if your system or device can handle it, even if you have a 4K display.

Was there in '74, one and only time. It's come a long way. So has imaging technology, drones did not exist, and the Tyler helicopter mount was only recently invented. (Watch "Morituri", first feature to use it.) City of Angels, and the haunt of devils. A curious place of contradictions and juxtapositions. Brilliantly captured! Liked 👍

I used to live in downtown LA and couldn't agree more. Downtown Los Angeles is very unremarkable. Not a lot to do. Not a lot to see. I guess that's Southern California, though: all sprawled out. No center to anything.

Most I7 through i9 can handle 8K, the bigger issue is system RAM and GPU RAM. You want a minimum of 8GB on your GPU for smooth playback.

A way out west there was a fella, fella I want to tell you about, fella by the name of Jeff Lebowski. At least, that was the handle his lovin' parents gave him, but he never had much use for it himself. This Lebowski, he called himself the Dude. Now, Dude, that's a name no one would self-apply where I come from. But then, there was a lot about the Dude that didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. And a lot about where he lived, like- wise. But then again, maybe that's why I found the place s'durned innarestin'... They call Los Angeles the City of Angels. I didn't find it to be that exactly, but I'll allow as there are some nice folks there. 'Course, I can't say I seen London, and I never been to France, and I ain't never seen no queen in her damn undies as the fella says. But I'll tell you what, after seeing Los Angeles and thisahere story I'm about to unfold-- wal, I guess I seen somethin' ever' bit as stupefyin' as ya'd see in any a those other places, and in English too, so I can die with a smile on my face without feelin' like the good Lord gypped me. Now this story I'm about to unfold took place back in the early nineties-- just about the time of our conflict with Sad'm and the Eye-rackies. I only mention it 'cause some- times there's a man--I won't say a hee-ro, 'cause what's a hee-ro?--but sometimes there's a man. And I'm talkin' about the Dude here-- sometimes there's a man who, wal, he's the man for his time'n place, he fits right in there--and that's the Dude, in Los Angeles. ...and even if he's a lazy man, and the Dude was certainly that--quite possibly the laziest in Los Angeles County..which would place him high in the runnin' for laziest worldwide--but sometimes there's a man. . . sometimes there's a man. Worst downtown skyline I've ever seen for a city whose metro pop. is nearly 19 million... LA planing is very weird in multiple dimensions.. why the hell the downtown is in the north eastern edge, when they have the entirety of the vast (and temperate) coastal basin? It's as if they want to be away from the ocean that by the way specifically makes LA so popular, providing it with the temperate and comfortable climate... Also, why does it not have a beautiful/landmark urban oasis like Central Park (New York City), Mount Royal(Montreal), Golden Gate Park (San Francisco), Grant Park(Chicago), etc, etc, etc? There was such land scarcity in LA they didn't have any to spare for such?
