There is a folk duo from the 1960's who were Kathy & Carol. They had an LP that was in later years released on a CD as "Kathy & Carol." I think you both might enjoy hearing their folk album which you can hear all the songs from that album on KZbin. They sang a lot of traditional ballads that you might consider covering. You kind of remind me of them when I hear the both of you sing. They were from the San Diego area years ago.
