TWIN Chunky (STATE RECORD?!) Greenling into Delicious FRIED RICE!

Camped out, explored new Cali coastline and found some sketchy but nice spots - a couple of BIG Greenlings took the swimbaits and when I went home, I found out one might potentially be a STATE RECORD fish. Hope you all enjoyed this as much as I did.

You're not missing much; it's nice to look at, but from shore it's hard to find a secluded spot, always some beach bum lurking around, then from shore there's hardly any fish you have to get on a boat which is less fun (IMO)...maybe if you head up North. Good luck.

Nice Catch! Caught a 21' Kelp Greenling years ago at Fort Barry in the Golden Gate Recreation Area back in the 70's when the park first opened up , we also caught lots of big Grass Rockcods in the 5lb to 8lb range. Now there's just a few nice ones.

Yea those slammers and keitech work pretty damn well out here (Although honestly anything that creates turbulence works, even a popsickle stick threaded with a line and hook). For the first half of the video when you were getting all the bites, those rockfish also called stone fish also called the bottom and snags I was laughing my butt off!
