I'm so glad I own a white discovery 1! I want that exhaust system. Sounds mean as hell! I have owned many Landrovers including a 67 S2a 88" and a late 89 RRC. another discovery 1 and I currently own a Fuqi... probably the only one in the USA!

The snorkel on the D1 where did you get thr pillar mounts? that's awesoms
@lror11 ай бұрын
Thanks man i like it too. I actually made it from a couple of pieces of exhaust pipe. It runs between the inner and outer guard/panel and comes out the pillar. Tight squeeze in there but no snorkel sitting on the outside of the guard 👌
@lror11 ай бұрын
Oh and the pillar mounts are just a couple of brackets bolted onto the inside and welded onto the pipe in place.

in older video you drive at Bf good rich mt. Are the Toyo open country Mt better then the Bf good rich Mt?
@lror8 жыл бұрын
Raymond Logister In terms of off road they are about the same however i need to air the toyos down more due to the stronger side walls. I do find the toyos are less precise and more vague than the km2s but thats probably because they are wider.

Oh, subscribed! Love the driving, plenty of mechanical sympathy which is often lacking on some of the offroad videos around Love the note on the D1 and how good is the isuzu powered range Rover? Is it the 4bt1 engine?
@lror7 жыл бұрын
+samftr Thanks mate, yes we try to be as gentle as possible yet some obstacles demand a little more throttle. Yes you are correct that the rangie is powered by a 4bd1-t motor and is almost unstoppable.

LROR Land Rovers Off Road was it easily engineered? I know the army had them in the perenti and land rovers, would be cool in a disco
@lror7 жыл бұрын
Definitely be awesome in a Disco. Probably a lot of mods on the trans tunnel would be needed if going with the reliable LT95.
@Doctoberfest7 жыл бұрын
There's a gent that did that here in the states. Really nice set up, but he finished the build and then solid almost immediately.

Doctoberfest598 That seems to happen often. Sometimes its the journey and process of building the car more so than the end result that gives people pleasure.

what's the lift on the disco? also what did you need to do to fit those 35s?

Ryan Pallas 3inch lift. Some cutting and hammering was required to make them fit and bump stops accordingly.

the 2 door Range is an ICON , by far one of the most well proportioned of all 4x4 's ! If not THE best looking AND more capable ! ( as long as you do not grow too big in wheel size). It's like the Supemarine Spitfire ... ICONS are ICONS

Anyone know the suspension specs on that rangie? I have the exact same rangie at home it's nearly ready for rego I want to beef up the tyres and suspension but I'm assuming it's got a 2" lift and 33's? And assuming it has lockers if anyone can tell me that would be good and maybe prices on a 2"-3" lift for one?
@lror6 жыл бұрын
Lachlan Smith Hard to say prices that depends where you are in the world. Overall you are correct it has 2 inch lift.

I like the way the rangie gets along on at's, the disco seems to have to do a lot of reving to get anywhere. It may be the low ratio he's running.
@lror3 жыл бұрын
Spot on about the low ratios and higher revving on the D1. The 4bd1t motor on the rangie gives it low down torque which is fantastic for this sort of stuff. Thanks for dropping by 👍
@Ronhickmott3 жыл бұрын
@@lror the military motor didn't occur to me, I thought it must have been the very rare straight six diesel Range Rover.
@lror3 жыл бұрын
@@Ronhickmott apparently the 4bd1t was original from factory. As the story goes the initial owner worked in converting the 110s into perenties for land rover. Wanting to buy a new rangie he managed to get land rover to agree to fit the isuzu or something to that effect.
