Nice video. All Disco's did good. I like the idea of twin lockers before any other mod, made that stock looking D1 look so capable.

Old vid i know, but that tdi is so impressive. Absolutly love the sound of the v8, i own one myself. The silver series 2 would be unstoppable with another inch or 2 of flex.

Hi Guys!!! Well done, really impressive! for the discos locked did you change CV and axles?
@lror3 жыл бұрын
Yes they are changed out. Dont think stock would survive long on this terrain locked with these tyres.

what size tyres does the D2 run at the 1 min mark
@checa1604 жыл бұрын
The grey one(D2) seems to go with 31”s or 265/75/16(31,5”)...
@adventuresofjake25537 жыл бұрын
Great vid again chaps, what size tyre is the d1 v8 running also what has he done to the arches. I can see they've been chopped at bit but what's around them
@lror7 жыл бұрын
+Adventures of Jake Thanks man 👍 The D1 is on 35s and yes the arches have been trimmed and finished of just with rubber trimming at the time of this video. IMHO they look great like that although now its running flexi-flares.

Thank you so much for such a nice comment. It has 3 inch lift and +5 shocks. Which part of the world are you in? The UK is the best place to source parts for land rovers.

@chris808te708 жыл бұрын

Chris Willis Any engine mods mate?
@chris808te708 жыл бұрын
Rover Lord it's got lpg injection on the td5 and no egr. I wasn't using the lpg on this day as it was empty
@zakevasolar8 жыл бұрын
Hey Chris does the lpg help lower egt's and did it add any noticeable power gains?
@chris808te708 жыл бұрын
John Smith I'm not sure about egt's as I have no way of monitoring them at the moment but it does make a noticeable difference giving more power

D2 would do better on smaller tyres I reckon
@checa1604 жыл бұрын
I don’t think so..mine improved A LOT from stock to 266/75/16. With 33’s I’m sure it’s even better...but it needs a 2” lift kit and some spacers or offset rims...

Land Rovers are like the Jeeps of Europe. Off road savy, but pretty unreliable and for some reason stupidly popular and expensive
@checa1604 жыл бұрын
Toyota fan there??? LOL. You, big mouths have no idea about land rovers and their reliability...but speak too much... My nephew’s patrol GR 400000kms of soft use and already 2 engines and a fuel pump(more money expended than me buying my disco 2)... My disco 2 td5 is now 250000kms..first engine, remap to 165hp not an issue...and my foot is double weight than my nephew’s, and I use the car dayly in all kind of conditions... Toyota??? Prepare your wallet to maintain it...and have a tow allways near you...wanna try? You guys keep on lying and lying and hiding your miseries while you rely in those miths about land rover reliability(if you go to LR service or toyota mechanics, of course they become unreliable)...have fun with your toy...if possible...cheers

Expensive?... Front turn lights, both, 25€. Tyres, 266/75/16, around 100€ each.. Clutch master and slave cilinder, 150€ both. Clutch kit(complete with flywheel), from 450€ to the sky delending on your choice. Wheel hub, complete with abs sensor:from 80 to 180€ depending on choice. Shock absorvers, stock, 18€ each; +2”, from 25€ each to whatever you want to pay... Lockers: from 450€ ATB limited slip from ashcroft, to 600-650 of Ashcroft air lockers, or cheap HF around 500€, valid for 80% of the uses anyone can do...kam electric around 1200€ or detroit e-lockers at 1800(those are out of any logical option)... Brake discs plus brake pads kit, brembo oem, 170€ all. Of you prefer high spec, around 200-210€ the whole kit... Snorkel, from 65€ a chinese one, to 100, to 200 the spanish “Bravo snorkel” to400 for the safari or mantec units... Bumpers?? From 150€ to the sky... HD cv’s and axles: rear around 350, fronts(axles and cv’s) around 1000€, and they’re forever... Springs?? From joke prices to whatever you want... And all that stuff works, better or worse, but works for years... Do you still say they’re expensive... They’re the cheapest by far...and the best performancewise in stock form...(once you tune up it depends on the stage of tunning, not the brand..).. But you guys go on with those comments so smart people can buy cheap second hand lr’s and enjoy them.. Cheers
