Laura's tragedy was that of being robbed of your innocence, then having your life cut short. Audrey's tragedy is having every open door, every possibility you had ahead of you, be left open for you, and you just stand there not wanting to limit yourself by making a decision until the world decides to narrow things down for you to the point you are left with a mundane life that feels like Hell because you know you could have made it different, but you just didn't act in time. Audrey's tragedy is made even more sorrowful by the fact that she was making choices, she was shaping her future the way she saw suitable and reasonable, but misfortune came knocking with coincidence in hand, and so those decisions lead her to stand just feet away from a bomb explosion that put her into a coma for God knows how long. Audrey is the tragedy of losing your youth for no fault of your own and being left in with your frail self to reflect on all that you could have done had you not missed your shot, or had you taken any of the other shots that you could have had a chance to score.

Would have been a great way to connect Audrey's storyline to Cooper's.

@@Casinorhgd If you already invested all the time in the show I strongly advise you listen to this incredible collection of details over at Twin Perfect (yt channel), that explains exactly what was meant and perfectly achieved by season 3. If you ever understand what the point of the whole show was when it was created then you will know that this was the only way it could be revisited by Lynch. He is an artist, and artists don't change the way they feel about the essence of their art for the sake of fans desires. Especially when, as irony would have it, that exact notion is what the show criticizes.

@@djolemacola Dude, they were fundamental in the original series. It's like doing a Breaking bad season with Walter without Jessie Pinkman, and vice versa. Lynch make Inland empire mixten with Mullholand Drive.

Sticking a fork in an electrical socket is preferable to watching Audrey's character be ruined, without a doubt.

@@Uncompromising_Mode they didn't ruin Audrey, she's obviously in some kind of limbo or purgatory which would naturally change and test you. Jesus, some people just don't get lynch but like soap operas ffs.

@@peterthirdandthebridges Its obviously not Audrey. But, of course, criticizing lynch's work automatically equates you to a troglodyte. Classic.

@@sgl0d10n Ahmygod that's the single most pretentious statement I've ever heard in my life hahaha. Some David Lynch fans really need to chill, I think the return was pretty terrible, very boring and not engaging, and even if there's some deep profound meaning behind all of it, the actual product was still not interesting. Like you can love it if that's your bag, but stop telling ppl they're dumb for having a different opinion.

People don’t realize exactly how many extended metaphor of season three had, and then most of them were audience proxy commentaries that’s the audience choking out the creators not Audrey😂😂😂😂

I think he was realizing that he was seeing her exist in another plane, as another version of her (maybe similar to how Laura Palmer turned out in the last episode). And I think it’s possible to travel through electrical sockets (like cooper did). So maybe he was trying to go to her?

My ideal role for Audrey would be to swap her role with Dianne. I feel like Laura Dern should have taken the Tamera Preston role, just keep Dianne's identity a mystery. Have Tamera, Albert and Gordon request Audrey for help, and it turns out that she was a tulpa all along. It would have been a better use of her character.
