Yeah. On some forums people complained about this episode and the entire return. I'm beginning to suspect that some of these people do not truly appreciate Lynch. I guess he's not everyone's cup of tea and I get that. But I'm loving every minute of this slow buildup to what will likely be a big confrontation in Twin Peaks. I love the Mitchum brothers even more now and I'm truly surprised to find that I am feeling sympathy for Anthony. Or maybe there's just something about Dougie Coop that entirely disarms people? It appears that way. Either way, who actually did not think evil Coop would win the arm wrestling? Could see that coming a mile away. I was like "Run away now, Ray!" As soon as Coop said he wanted Ray as a prize if he won. I gotta stay away from spoilers. I too am "itching" for episode fourteen... ha!

I think Twin Peaks the Return has been brilliant..though it is like if Season 2 would've been directed by Lynch for all of the episodes instead of some. I liked Season 2 though, and I realize it was different and had a mixed reaction. I don't know if i'd want a Season 4 though. Ya know what I think would be cool though? How about a different story with many of the same actors, directed and written by Lynch/Frost? Yes, it would be like American Horror Story, but I think it would lessen the impact of any chance of Twin Peaks "Jumping the shark" that may be there, but continue weird stories, narratives, and ideas.

Um, a lot of people are enjoying the series and do not find it to be a waste of their time. Lynch doesn't always tie things off in neat little knots and that's okay.

I think in one of the last episodes there will be two Coopers in Twin Peaks, Norma will find out who is the real one because he's gonna recognise the ingredients in the pie.
@jeffbecker87167 жыл бұрын
So this would imply that Szymon's sells Norma's pies, but only those directly from the RR and not from any of her substandard franchise locations. Thus a connection to Twin Peaks in Vegas. Also noticed the "Z" on their sign is in a thicker font - really stands out. Could that be a reference to the Black Lodge floor pattern?
@RVKKify7 жыл бұрын
I'd say that's a bit far fetched. In my opinion the only thing implied is that Szymon's makes good, homemade, organic (and Polish) pie, which is just as good as Norma's. Unless Szymon is someone's Döppelganger. Somebody's who listens. There are still many unanswered questions, like how's Annie, where's Billy, what did Tina say, and when is the chewing gum going to come back in style?

I'm surprised you didn't mention Audrey's puzzle! We're not being shown a linear story in Twin Peaks, and I think that is the key here to understanding the show. We see Bobby talk about finding his dad's stuff, but this doesn't make sense if the last thing that happened was the strange pile-up and the vomiting child. We also see Shelley invite her daughter to the diner, but we never see her arrive. And the conversation they have seems to pre-date the incident last episode, since Becky is NOT staying at Shelley's. Something is definitely intentionally off. Audrey is stuck in something supernatural or in a coma, it would seem. The room she's in is full of outdated vintage items and she seems disconnected from the "real world." The dialogue in that scene was chilling, and had me on edge the entire time. No one mentions her in the show in the present tense, either.

There was a theme that seemed to stay with me after this episode that drew my attention to the the townsfolk of twin peaks. They are all seemingly trapped in some kind of loop or repetition of the past. Nadine is still pursuing her silent drapes, Dr Amp/Jacoby is running what seems the same "Shit Shovel" show, James is singing 'Just You' identically to how he did 25 years ago, Audrey is trapped in this situation where she can't leave the house and has the same argument with her "husband", Johnny listening to the creepy "Hello Johnny, How Are You Today" bear on loop, Shelly is repeating her old mistakes with her choices in men, Big Ed is shown in the gas station and his reflection is literally seen glitching as if looped, sarah palmer is watching a looped boxing scene and appears completely unaware or unconcerned.

You make a good point about Diane. If Evil Cooper still needed Ray for the coordinates, then obviously Diane is not communicating with Evil Cooper. But that raises the question of with whom IS she communicating? I'm not sure if it's right to attribute Evil Cooper's strength to him getting a boost from the dirty woodsmen. After all, in episode 1 or 2 Evil Cooper effortlessly disarmed some bodyguard twice and that was before the woodsmen worked him over after the shooting. I was worried that there are only five episodes left and Cooper still not himself. This leaves little time for Cooper to become himself again AND deal with the Black Lodge/White Lodge. But now I think there will be no resolution with those lodges. This "return" season is just about restoring Good Cooper and vanquishing Evil Cooper. Anything else will be left hanging or require future episodes. Great channel, by the way. I'm very glad I found you.

The “do I have to end your story too” + the surreality of the conga line in ep 13 (and probably a lot of small other things before) made me think: is this story like Mulholland Drive? Except it’s not one character (Diane) imagining another (Betty), but one character (Dale Cooper) imagining two extreme aspects of his self: one innocent (too innocent, to the point of infantilism: Dougie) and one evil (Bad Coop). Dougie will never wake up because he is in nonexistence: he never existed, he is a figment of Dale’s imagination. That’s why everything is surreal in Vegas: the slotmachine wins, the automatic eating/drink/urinating routines, the seventh heaven gymset, the cars, the forgiving gangsters eating his pie - images of childlike innocence. Bad Coop’s story is also surreal - too surreal to be true, even if we are in a horror movie genre. How can he escape from the prison that easily? How can he wake up from the dead? How can he beat the toughest gangsters in armwrestling? Again, these are pieces of dreamlike imagination - except they come from the dark, shadow self: where unmitigated sexual and aggressive drives (a la freud’s ID) run crazy. But it’s not real. Things will come together in Twin Peaks, the location, not because it is a special place: but because this is where Dale physically IS, imagining things. Reality bleeds in, there are glitches and Great Northern keys and Tibetan balls ringing - but this is just someone slowly coming to his senses in this location. And perhaps going through spiritual awakening: encountering his shadow shelf, dweller on the threshold, [insert your favourite mystical school’s depiction of enlightenment]. So there: Dougie will meet Bad Coop, apocalypse happens: then Dale wakes up.

Hi there, as I rewatch the scene with Sarah Palmer, the looped clip of the boxing match suggests something off about the electricity in the house, obviously, but the clip goes like this: Looks like he's got the big guy by the ear (Sarah Palmer hears or senses spirits around, whether her house or the grocery store), and he's finally down (Sarah loses it), the gentleman asks if he's alright (Hawk comes over to ask if she's alright), he says he's ok (Sarah says she's fine), etc. I think Sarah could have a bigger role in terms of fighting something. She may be down for now, but she's not out. One thing I've been doing with the Sarah Palmer scenes is looking in the mirrors behind her, which is how we accidentally first saw BOB. Something is definitely wrong in the Palmer house, but I think Sarah has a certain fight/battle/mission to conquer.
@lowlize7 жыл бұрын
This is the complete transcription: "Oh, the right hand catches the big guy by the ear! And he finally goes down, hangs onto the ropes. Oh, the gentleman asks him if he's okay. Looks like, uh, round number one and two under way. Now it's a boxing match again." The mention of round number one and two being under way seems pretty important to me, considering the Battling Bud poster: "In four furious rounds!"

Watching Sarah Palmer makes me feel a creeping dread that it's tough to catergorize. I fear Big Ed is heading toward a tragic end. How is Lynch going to deal with Phillip Jeffries since David Bowie is no longer with us? It seems Jeffries is too important to remain off-camera for the rest of the series. CGI? Recasting? What?

Big Ed... there is a moment where he looks away, can't see the road, down at his cup, or burning the note... need to rewatch... but I heard a familiar truck sound... it sounded like Dopplecoop's truck. I think Big Ed was looking away and missed it, but we HEARD Cooper enter town. I need to rewatch, but it was an odd scene, and one sound, like Cooper's truck, was abnormally loud when Big Ed was looking away. Consider Lynch does the sound design as well....
@voodoochild1975az7 жыл бұрын
57:04 he looks down at his cup... ~57:18 you hear a truck that is either much louder or mixed more prominently. Ed is distracted by his cup of soup, doesn't see it. Now listen at 7:08.... same truck? Also, as soon as the truck sounds to move on, pull away... Ed looks back outside, we see his view, what he just missed... and the words 'Starring Kyle MacLachlan' show up. On repeat viewing, I think we heard Evil Coop enter Twin Peaks. I did some looking at a map, several towns in 'western montana' are 2-3 hours drive from where Twin Peaks is supposed to be.

If it were nearly anyone but Lynch, I'd think it was a stupid detail not worth obsessing over. However, this is LYNCH and details worth obsessing over is something he does rather well actually. He does the sound design. So you have to listen as carefully as you watch. And of course, this is a large part of why I love Lynch's work. Maybe it's nothing, but I can have fun analyzing it to this level, and often there IS something there.

Another powerhouse episode! I think Ray must have believed he hallucinated the woodsmen, that his bullet somehow grazed EvilCoop or didn't penetrate the skin (these things happen IRL). The leap from E-Coop surviving a murder attempt to "super-powered spirit-possessed entity" would be a huge one, so Ray probably rationalizes what he's seen. E13 is one of my favorites of the Return, though the two Audrey scenes so far have been frustratingly obtuse. Everything else is mesmerizing.

I think its Duncan Todd who is the middleman with the texts, as it seems he owes's someone 'big' in order to do all these things he doesn't want to do, so I think somehow he is receiving instructions to transmit these texts without understanding anything about them. That is why when the receiver reads the texts they are in all caps, whereas the sender doesn't transmit them in that form. If Todd is part of the double header, it would make sense that repooc (bad coop) needed to have a 'clean up' of anyone involved in the ongoing plot. He is clearly approaching the face off with Diane and the FBI! Can't wait.

There is one scene in the original TP that was pretty much universally despised and that would be the James/Donna/Maddie song and last night Lynch decided to use that exact same song. A very clear sign that Lynch is trying to ruffle feathers still. How the hell did Richard get to Montana?
@Gigibaby887 жыл бұрын
Cyril yeah I thought about that too. I know Lynch has been very vocal about being upset about the hate that James gets in the "fandom" so I don't think it's just a coincidence that we got that crazy song or that line about how cool James is 🤔

There's also the fact that they used the exact same recording, which even if James was a professional vocalist there's no way his voice wouldn't change after 25 years. The scene made me laugh.

TP is in Eastern Wash... 'the Farm' was Western Montana... look at a map dude. At it's narrowest point, there is just about 50 miles of Idaho between Washington and Montana. LA and San Diego are further apart than TP and 'western montana'
@gabrielross92267 жыл бұрын
Totally disagree. Maybe I'm the fool. But I love the little threesome song. I think people love to hate James. Western Montana isn't that far from Twin Peaks. Maddie was from Bozeman.

I in no way hate James. The song... that I hate. But I have no hatred towards James. I do think his little side quest in Season 2 was one of the lamer aspects of that season, but not because it was James, it could have been Bobby and that would have seemed lame. And while I do appreciate the cartography lessons from everyone, maybe I should re-phrase my question: How the hell did Richard (a kid) end up in the exact same place as DoppelDale and Ray (and a bunch of other men, including the Hot Dog Guy from the Happening!!). Distance has sweet fa to do with it- Richard could have turned up in New York and I would have still wondered how that particular plot thread intersected with the others.

There are three things that apears in almost everery episode -there is the obvious number seven, roses (red and blue) and something interesting -EXIT-signs -green exit-signs and red exit-signs. The signs are something very normal so you dont notices them until you rewatches the show. The exit-signs may have a conection to what Laura told Cooper -"You can leave now.".
@natalisalexander96177 жыл бұрын
This is just a theory about the unclear time differences with the plot. I think there are 2 dimensions being seen since the shift at the end of episode 7, and post episode 8. The time was thrown off of one dimension when Mr C. didn't return to the black lodge, and Coop returned as Dougie. There is one dimension that adds an extra day, and the other is the one we are used to seeing. There are few who notice the difference. Sarah Palmer is one of them and it's driving her nuts. It never shows how it looked behind the counter when she entered the store. I think she noticed the change in dimension when she's at the counter. The only ones who can travel or notice what's going on have been connected in some way to the lodges/beings/woodsman. The time has seemed a bit squished this whole season but more so after ep7. I believe twin peaks is the Nexus for all of this but the dimensions are changed in the other US cities as well. We're watching 2 timelines. There are more examples if anyone has questions. Also. I think there is something in the water in Twin Peaks that makes the Coffee/ Pies different. Don't know if it has something to do with the lodges or the Fire mentioned in TSHOTP. I'll have to rewatch the beginning of the season again, but there has got to be something that has to do with the Future/Past question that the????? Asked Cooper, and I don't think it entirely relates to the original series. I need to do more research, but I think there may be 2 dimensions that are slightly ajar with time.

Naomi Collimore the timing is off, deliberately so of course, did you notice how Bobby said that he found his dad's message "today", I doubt that happened all in one day, including the kid shooting the gun and the sick girl
@naomicollimore717 жыл бұрын
Cameron MacRury , yes- I know there is a non-linear narrative happening, but it seemed very obvious in this Ep. Other plot lines seemed to continue on another time plane. It was odd to see Dougie in a conga line and learning how he hadn't been home- even though we saw Sonny Jim playing catch with him last episode. It certainly keeps us on our toes.

Yes, for those complaining that "nothing happened" in this episode, they're missing this crucial subtext. It seems to me one of the main points of this segment was to highlight the timeline anomalies. Shelly's phone call scene takes place in full daylight, where the very next time we're at the RR, it's dinner time. Glaring and intentional. Great point about Dougie playing ball. I had missed that, and now that little scene makes sense! Lynch is talking to us on many levels. Are we all listening?

I think Sarah palmer was the girl from ep 8 that bob crawled into, the young boy that kissed her was Leland bob moved to Leland after he (bob) realized he couldn't control Sarah, he (bob) couldn't control her because of Laura's essence (gold orb) was place in Sarah's womb, sarah is still sensitive to the "weird stuff" because she was a former host to bob .... let's see how far off I am lol

Who would like to see a Season 4 of Twin Peaks? From what I've seen of The Return so far, I think that there is a lot of material to warrant another season. Depending on how The Return concludes of course, I hope they do commit to a Season 4. I mean who wouldn't want more Twin Peaks :)

you let an important thing pass: The creepy delayed reflection of Big Ed in the window glass at the end of the episode, which can be a crucial clue to something really big happenning or about to happen in Twin Peaks timeline of events.

How can you see anything in the glass? I've watched several times and don't see it. Perhaps I need to adjust my screen settings again? I had to do that for episode 8 - was too dark to see BOB. At least please tell me which side of the glass I should look. Thanx

Jeff Becker Is very subtle, but you can see it here, below the written word "frame". In the reflexion, Ed still with the cup in his hand although in "real life" he's not anymore welcometotwinpeaks.com/discuss/twin-peaks-part-13/big-eds-reflection/

I can see it... he puts the cup down and looks closer at the reflection, then the camera looks over there, and you can see in the reflection he still has the cup raised to his mouth, and then it suddenly goes back down onto the table. Going to have to look closer at episodes from now on!

There is definitely a supernatural anomaly effecting the flow of time. The scene with Sarah watching the looping boxing match is a clear indication. Also, in the last scene with Big Ed, his reflection in the window is out of sync. That's why Big Ed lights the paper on fire, so he can see the time glitch more easily in the reflection. It seems the time glitch is effecting more and more people and it is becoming stronger.

TACHYON TIME LORD I'm old and not sure what dfs is ha, I've loved the show from the beginning. I was thinking about that but the giant had that in his hand this was sent differently, I thought the giant in the early season was giving him the memory of what laura whispered in his ear, he just had to figure it out.
@tron55555557 жыл бұрын
About the the orb the Giant sends into Cooper in the old show -- just because it was a gold orb does't mean Laura's essence was inside it. Maybe. But we have no evidence of that at this point. Just because the only other gold orb we've seen did have her essence in it, that doesn't mean every gold orb we see in the show must possess that same essence. That's flawed logic. Golden orbs could simply be the Giant's vessels inside of which he places important things -- information, memories, spiritual essences. We don't know at this point. it is a viable theory, though -- don't get me wrong. But certainly far from anything concrete at this point.
@wrathofmatt42987 жыл бұрын
Andrew Boone I've watched this show from the beginning, please don't think you know what I mean. I'm being sarcastic and joking with that comment. And in the earlier season I never thought that was laura in the orb I always believed it was the memory Coop had forgotten, what laura had whispered to him.

2 things really bother me after watching this episode. - Wtf Douggie is still doing with Mitchem brothers when in the previous episode he's throwing ball with his kid. Well throwing ball isn't exactly how it was but anyway. - Bobby tells Ed that they have discovered something, but hey, it was like 4 or 5 episodes ago and they still haven't gone to that place That scene with Sarah was very strange in a bad way, 2-3 minutes of nothing, absolute nothing. I remember a couple of episodes before they were talking that they were gonna go tomorrow. But it's been like 5 days since then. Also, how about that boy throwing some evil shit. What's up with that? No mentions at all. And so many things like that. I don't mind waiting for an explanation, but it's 13th episode. Only 5 left and so many mysterious have not been revealed. I hope it's going somewhere, I really do.

It seemed like this episode had a strong theme of longing in it. Tony longing to come clean, Audrey longing to know what's going on, Bobby and Ed longing for love in old places. Bad Coop seems to be really trying to find out about Philip Jefferies, while Richard seems to be chasing Bad Coop. Even the audience really looking forward to what Bobby is going to share about the clues his father left behind... only to be left hanging by Lynch as they both move to the background to leave Norma and her new partner to discuss business in the foreground. James' super broody song comes back in this episode too. Just a thought!

I thought the 2 hits that Hutch and Chantal were poised to do in Vegas would be Dougie and Janey E rather than Dougie and Todd. If Todd is trying to kill Dougie, why would he not be on the same team as Evil Coop?
@WowLynchWow7 жыл бұрын
I figured it was Todd because he failed to kill "Dougie" several times, and BadCoop said it better be done by the next time he calls.
@health94377 жыл бұрын
Possible, though the fact that Philip Jeffries is who is trying to kill Bad Coop, the whole thing is so confused as to possibly be unsortable with a dissatisfying resolution. Lets go back to One Armed Mike's warning that either Dougie or Bad Coop has to die. That could explain Bad Coop trying to kill Dougie. It does not explain Philip Jeffries trying to kill Bad Coop. Normally any character in any story has survival as an obvious simple motivation. Bad Coop wants, however, not to return to the black lodge. He seems able to even defy death, as he did in with the help of the woodsmen. If he can't be killed since the woodsmen will save him, what's he worried about? Mike wants Dougie to not die. Leland wants Agent Coop to find his daughter Laura.WE ALL WANT AGENT COOP TO RETURN. If Bad Coop does not want to return to the black lodge, why does he want the coordinates? If Jeffries set up the jailing of Ray and Bad Coop, what does that mean? Does it mean he turned over Bad Coops car? Does it mean he created a situation where Ray was pulled over for some smaller reason rather than Ray doing something unnecessarily risky? Why should we think Bad Coop is who put Agent Coop in Dougie's body? Why would he want to? Why would Bad Coop want Agent Coop OUT of the black lodge? I seriously doubt Lynch will satisfactorily address the issue of Dougie already looking like Agent Coop( with a little more weight) for years before the scene with Jade where the Dougie become infantile but capable of receiving insights from other dimensions like mr jackpots, seeing Tony was lying, seeing lights guiding through the case files and getting the box and the cherry pie from one armed Mike, seeing dandruff on Tony's jacket. Whoever is helping Dougie also gave that dream to the Mitchum brother played by Belushi.

Cooper must have realized that the ring brings people into the Black Lodge...that makes sense-ish with his warnings to Laura. Diane is working with Jeffries (Chet, too?). Jeffries intercepts and relays messages. Evil Cooper might actually be seen as a 'good guy' by the end of this...he's working to expose Jeffries, bring Jeffries' accomplices to the black lodge (hence the, put on the ring). Jeffries and others are seeking their garmonbozia from Mr. C...his refusal to return makes them angry. Mr. C didn't need anything from Ray...he was speaking the truth. The coordinates going to Twin Peaks? hardly something Mr.C/Cooper didn't know already. Even the info that Jefffries was behind Ray was nothing more than a confirmation of something already known. The doubleheader in Vegas could just be 'collecting pieces' (ala W. Earle and chess) from Jeffries by Mr C...leading to an ultimate doppleganger showdown in TP on 10/2.

This is a very good review, I was just recently introduced into your videos. From what you point out it confirms my theory that the so called "intermediary-lodge", the gateway towards what is now known as WHITE LODGE", becomes relevant again as Dale Cooper escaped through power source number three, while number fifteen did not work yet, so during the next episode Naido will appear at Jack Rabbits Palace where Bobby will take Hawk, Sheriff Truman and Andy. Due to his frivolous nature, Andy is the one who will enter the WHITE LODGE, probably via the appearing of a new Vortex, and visit Carel Struycken's character who shows him all information. Vaudeville theater going into full throttle, the scene might mirror Andy stepping onto the wooden terrace and discovering a clue during the Laura Palmer investigation. However this Dale Cooper who exited through slot three is the one Gordon Cole saw when meeting Monica Bellucci in a dream. As dark spirits draw closer Sarah Palmer will somewhat show her true face. However the key towards Cole and Dougie meeting is Diane who might claim to have affiliations with Janey-E but I believe it might be a bad Coop failsafe as they seem to be in correspondence.

"... Gordon Cole saw when meeting Monica Bellucci in a dream." Is that a spoiler from part 14, or just a prediction?
@vascoseesitall7 жыл бұрын
Jim Cochrane it's a prediction based on misc interviews and the fragments of FWWM - See the Phillip Jeffries appearance and Bellucci is the only external celebrity who hasn't appeared so far and as far as Reznor, Del Rio, Moby are concerned they stay true to their real life persona. She could also be a good friend of Gordon visiting town but the importance of dreams is immense. Can't wait to see what will happen and especially in Part 15

The last 2 episodes air on the same night and I have a feeling the real Coop will awaken at the end of episode 16. We'll then spend those last two episode will a fully recovered Dale Cooper.

One theory I heard is that in Episode 3 when Coop is in the Purple Place, he looks at the outlet portal on the wall and it says "15", which is the Part he will return as Coop, and when he comes back from the roof it says "3", the Part he switches with Dougie. So we'd get 3 episodes with Coop.

I don't think Audrey is in reality. Her conversations with Charlie seem to be hinting at this, especially those in episode 13. I think she is still in a coma. And without a doubt, I now believe that Bad Coop is Richard Horne's biological father via coma rape. Overall, episode 13 was up there with episodes 1-2, 8, and 11 for me as the best of the season. And anyone who thinks GoT>Twin Peaks is shallow, vapid, and stupid. Lynch offers to us the true juxtaposition of life vs. perceived life, and most don't even get his genius.

Has anyone else noticed that there is a small spoiler in one of Showtime's recent promo clips that play before a show? Specifically (and [WARNING!!] if you don't want a spoiler - this one is very short, but it appears to reveal an important future plot turn -, I warn you now "look away"), in the promo before viewing the movie "Risk", a few short scenes from TP show up and one of them is Cooper, in a suit, driving a car at night with headlights visible in the car's rear window (seeming to imply he's being followed). This does not look like Coopleganger - eyes aren't blackened, hair is not nearly as long as Coopleganger's and, of course, Coopleganger does not wear a suit (AFAIK). And, obviously, since the rain-man/chauncey-gardiner/Dougie-Cooper does not know how to drive a car, this has to be Dale Cooper with his original faculties intact. He also has a normal, intelligent look on his face rather than the pseudo-retarded look we're used to on Dougie-Cooper. I've (and I suspect most people have) been assuming that odds are very high that a fully-restored Dale would appear at some point, even if only in the last part/episode. Now we appear to have confirmation of that. I wonder if Lynch/Frost are aware of this "little" spoiler that Showtime has sneaked out onto the air. I'm watching this in streaming form, via Showtime's app on an android TV, but I suspect it's also shown up on cable. I'm sure it doesn't matter what show I was watching, since they play the same promo multiple times, before different shows, but I thought I'd mention it in case it's helpful.

I can now conclude that the part in episode 2 or 3 WHEN THE LOG LADY DIRECTS HAWK TO THE Entrance of "the zone" . That scene is taking place at the end of the story !! That is prob one of the last scenes of the show!! We clearly see that hawk sees the red curtains opening when he gets to the location !!! And then the scene fades to white! Also i think that scene with sara palmer tells us that She is the one that had the frog creature go in her mouth !!!!!

I heard an interesting point made in another forum regarding Audrey and her husband/therapist, leading on from the psychiatric theory. Audrey and Charlie were compared to the warring couple George and Martha from "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf" who tell each other stories every day about their own fictional non-existent child. One day George "kills" the child in one of his stories which destroys Martha's spirit. The poster compares their relationship with Audrey and Charlie's, and the name of the fictional "child?" Sonny Jim!

Concerning time sequence, if you note time-of-day amongst the various plotlines they're not traditionally concurrent. When Hutch and Chantal are in Utah it's late at night. Surrounding this are daytime/evening scenes in Twin Peaks and Las Vegas. This is a common occurrence throughout the series. Considering that every script scene begins with time and location, it has to be baked in.

What was written on that scrap of paper Big Ed burned while credits rolling. His gas station looks just like the convenience store from Episode 8 with all the woodsmen walking around outside the convenience store. David Lynch snuck that scene in. 10:52 - Ray didn’t have much of a choice but to hope that Renzo would win. It’s also possible that Ray’s memories about the Woodsmen and BOB are “fuzzy;” Black Lodge energies can do that…
