While the full mystery awaits, fans can expect many familiar faces, including Golden Globe® winner and Emmy® Award nominee Kyle MacLachlan, who reprises his role as FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper.
Widely considered one of the most groundbreaking and influential broadcast series of all time, Twin Peaks followed the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town who were stunned after their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. The town's sheriff welcomed the help of FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper, who came to town to investigate the case. As Cooper conducted his search for Laura's killer, the town's secrets were gradually exposed. The mystery that ensued set off an eerie chain of events that plunged the inhabitants of Twin Peaks into a darker examination of their very existence. Twenty-five years later, the story continues...

That's not really correct..The quote from the Showtime exec (Nevins): "I think the ‘Twin Peaks’ you’re going to see is the pure heroin of David Lynch ". That is not the same as Lynch ON Heroin! Nevins seems to imply one of two things: This is highly addictive, and/or that it is simply Lynch in a pure form, meaning full creative freedom, not watered down. Lynch ON heroine would mean something very different......

Das Kinophile ENTP I think it came at a time when I was not ready for it. I was too involved with furthering my education, career, etc. Usually, I can appreciate weird but this series didn't have enough draw power to command my attention. I know the tag line 'Who killed Laura Palmer' was every where. I just couldn't give a shit. Also, Kyle MacLachlan had a face that always bothered me. I don't know, it may gave been that ridiculous chin of his. I did enjoy Michael J. Anderson (the little person) in 'Carnivále' though, after the fact. I'm now hungry again for something new and bizarre on television since 'Hannibal' and 'Penny Dreadful' have been canceled. Maybe this will do the trick. (Sorry if my response was weird. Just being honest.)

It's probably not going to make sense if you just start with the new season. This is a continuation of the series, not a reboot. You'll need the context. Seasons 1 and 2 are on Netflix and Hulu.
