Just bought a 24’ Twin Power 5000 paired with a 7’2” heavy Jigging World Night Ranger. The combo is about 13oz. I kayak fish inshore in New England and got this for larger plugs, plastics, etc. for stripers. The Twin Power is absolutely spectacular. It’s a beast of a reel. Expensive, sure, but my god does it perform well.

I have the newest Twin Power in a 3000 size and it's easily the most refined reel I have ever used. The only thing that even comes close is my Shimano Vanquish also in the 3000 size.

I currently own the the 2024 Twin Power FE 2500 for inshore fishing and love it. In all my years of fishing, I have never owned the same real twice. Id consider getting another one. They are just that good. Thinking about picking up the 3000 model next. To be fair I did try out the Certate LT in the tackle shop. I just didn’t like it as much as the Twin Power.

I believe the 2500 and 3000 have the same body size. Only difference is the spool line capacity i think.

Very happy with my JDM 2024 Twin Power 4000PG. Great reel. Yes ultra smooth on the retrieve. But the biggest surprise is when casting. The line just shoots out. Like it's self-propelled. 😊 I bought a 5000 size spool too. Great reel.

Have used both diawa and shimano at their highest end and the saltiga vs Stella is a no brainer to me especially for the fishing I’m doing but the TP and Certate is a way closer call love my high end diawa but the affordability of the TP can’t be overstated. I will say I have to service my shimano reels a bit more often than my diawa reels and I don’t service my twin power myself nor do I service my saltiga same way I wouldn’t want to do the service for my Ferrari so the mag seal isn’t a big deal to me. Do your research and figure out which would be best for you for me it’s diawa for others it’s shimano no shame either way

The certate is great but the inability to be able to service it myself or even accessible servicing shops in my country, ooh the poor Philippines, I am slowly switching to Shimano. Mainly because of the magoil restriction (always being unavailable) and lousy (Ryoshi Pro) outfitter. They would charge you to send your reel to Singapore for servicing because, although they claim that they can service your reel locally the moment you buy from their shop, they have no magoil. I have learned that aftermarket support is also a big deal. No more Daiwa shiiz because of servicing problems.

Yup. I went throught the same mental process you did. I used to think magseal is the coolest, now I think it's a deal breaker.

I HAD the Daiwa 2024 Certate LT. Out of the box felt great buttery smooth all the things you said in the video. First time bridge fishing for Sheepshead, I lightly banged the bail wire against a piling. Next thing you know I couldn't turn the reel. That light bang/bump badly bent the bail wire. I equate the Daiwa to an exotic sports car where if you hit even the slightest pot hole, you throw the entire alignment out of whack. Pure finesse real ideally used from a boat or other non-obstructive platform.

Changed from Shimano to Daiwa reals since the LT range… liking the thicker bail arm and smooth feel and light even if it’s a cheap real. + it to a Tcurve Shimano rods 👍🙏😋 that’s my choice

It is amazing that the prices are different here in Australia compared to America. The 2024 Daiwa Certate 2500 is worth $659 AUD here in Australia. Occasionally tackle stores sell them for 20% off which brings it down to $527.20 AUD. The Shimano Twin Power 2500 here in Australia is $819 they also sometimes do 20% off which brings it down to $655.20. I'd personally like Daiwa better. I still love Shimano but having both Exist and Stella and others like Certate etc I feel like the Daiwa are the better reel.

@skudaaron1986 Ай бұрын
@@aresze7083I am aware of buying from Japan. However you do not get a warranty with it here in Australia. Shimano has 10 years and Daiwa has 5 years for top of the line reels and 1 year for cheaper reels. I like my warranty. Daiwa Australia will not touch an overseas model.

I have the 3000 size twin power has a bit more spool than the 2500 & faster gear ratio than the 2500 for 0.2 more oz was a no brainer. Use it for small mouth large mouth and schoolie size stripers inshore it’s a powerhouse for the size and the infinity loop lets it cast even light lures and jigs a mile with 10lb line.

That rod is amazing, especially with this TP FE on it! With a 2500, I would personally go with the 841s (7' Medium Light). But if you're going with a 3000, I'd do the 842s (7' Medium)

Neither ... I don't care for spinning reels... I'm old school ... much prefer a conventional multiplier any day of the week... When it comes to performance, line capacity, and casting distances ...conventional reels reign supreme every time ... There is a much broader spectrum and sizes of conventional reels than spinners.... from 1500 BFS to the 130 class... there's a whole lot more in-between...

I have two Certate MQ LT that have performed flawlessly for several years of near weekly saltwater action. Then I added three Certate 2024 LT. Two reels broke on first fishing trip causing gears to be replaced. FYI but so far all good on three trips after repairs. On the third I bent the bail and don't remember when so it must be real easy to bend. Fishing reliability is important to me so I plan on donating these three new ones to someone new to fishing and find some pre 2024 versions.

The comment section is more resourceful and helpful than this dude speaking for 12 minute. I do have the previous gen Twin-Power 4000PG and we chase striper out on the delta with that thing. This thing is TOO!! powerful for largemouth folks but just right for Stripe Bass. I also have another 2500 model Twin Power. Huge jump of performance over the Stradic and Sustain. Perfect smooth Drag, Solid feeling, ton of power, smoothness of the reel is next level. No comment for Daiwa tho.
