Ran into Twin Shadows due to Tales From The Borderlands and every so often I always return to listen to this album, nostalgia, memories. This track is one of my go-tos out of it all

Lol why is everyone hating on this song? I actually like it. And yes, I've listened to both Forget and Confess, and other synthpop acts, as well.

who ever hates on this album is a fool. it's open, powerful, easy to relate to, and has some of the dopeset melodies and percussion in recent memory. remincent of Phil Collins. I Fuckin love it. His first album is still the best, he kinda had a sophomore slump, but this album is awesome. Go listen to "flat liners" and "half life" and tell me this album is trash.

+nick arndt Dude, people have different tastes. If you're talking about this album being open maybe you should be open too to the fact that people are different. The irony you're displaying is hilarious.

I for one love the new album and especially this song, and yes, I was already a fan of his and the previous albums. Good thing all this awesome anthemic pop is going to earn him so many new fans, cause the old ones seem kinda mean and cranky...

The key thing being forgotten here is that while twin shadow did come out with forget, that was entirely his project under his production and his writing. With popularity and success, Twin Shadow has upped the quality of his albums - which was exactly why many people believe confess and eclipse to be failures, as the Lo-fi sound of forget is no longer part of twin shadows music.

El principio es asombroso, pero cuando su voz comienza a sonar a esa especie de armonía en la parte de "He thinks that there's" y se agudiza en "hold him back" no se, mi cabeza me dice que suena mal, o que podría sonar mejor de otra manera.

There is a new desperation in his work. Like he feels like now it's make it or break it. Good god man he is one of the world's most innovative musicians so I'm telling myself ...I didn't like peter Gabriel when he started to pander to pop standards but now looking back its all great music.

RexX Sabøtage Hipster denial, when people who discovered a band early on disown the artist as they rise in popularity.
@rexxsabtage38959 жыл бұрын
Nicole Shore WTF is a hipster, do you mean hamster? I looked all up and down 2015 and couldn't find one but, after a bit of research I uncovered fossils of what might have been once considered a 'hipster'. Apparently there was this ELE back in 2008 known as 'social media' which altered the internet environment in such a way that allowed the small, rodent-like creatures access to a food source once exclusive to the 'hipster'; e-cred. This ecological shift allowed these once hapless and unnoticed vermin to flourish and evolve into the loud, ignorant and boisterous creatures we suffer through today. Unable to adapt to this change; being unfit to compete for access to their specialist food source and helpless against cataclysmic inundation of belligerent self-aggrandization, the 'hipsters' were inevitably driven into extinction. #TIL

Nicole Shore or when a band is discovered early, with amazing music and then rise in popularity by making the worst music possible... I could give two shits if he was on the radio as long as he was still pulling out good music, not this generic ass pop bullshit.

I have to respectfully disagree. This is right up there with Confess in how great this album is. Versatile, unique, soulful, and personal. This album will rocket him to mainstream popularity, I'm sure.
@DeapSeaTragedy9 жыл бұрын
MyLilliM how great this album is? it hasn't even came out yet. There's been like three song lol Confess was okaaay.. it had a couple really good songs and some really forgettable songs. Forget, on the other hand, was full of amazing songs. He's just going for a strictly pop sound now that garners mainstream sounding choruses and ridiculous lyrics that could have been made by a 15 yr old teen "in love". Just a sad direction to be going, but hey this is just my opinion.
@MyLilliM9 жыл бұрын
Sergio Pizano Confess was excellent. And what's wrong with pop music? Pop music has always been around. If someone happens to make some really excellent pop music why is that a problem? Suffice it to say his music is light years ahead of 99% of the stuff on the top 40 radio right now. Or would you disagree with that statement as well? In any case there is no rule stating that music has to be angsty and serious all of the time. A little levity is a good thing. If we walk around taking ourselves too seriously and our music too seriously we end up looking like pretentious fools.
@ZeroRegen9 жыл бұрын
You can't expect his music to not evolve.
@DeapSeaTragedy9 жыл бұрын
MyLilliM There is nothing wrong with pop. His genre has always had pop to it. But it was synthpop with a mixture of chillwave. Now he's going to straight pop music with uncreative takes on his sound. Don't get me wrong I liked Confess, it could have been better, but it was pretty good nonetheless. To say his music is light years ahead of the top 40 radio, i would agree if you were talking about his first two albums. These singles he has released for his new album on the other hand sound like they fit right in there perfectly with his beats and his lyricism. At the end of the day though, this again is just my opinion. No judging here. Just I, personally, do not like where he is headed, but to each their own.
