I noticed you did not show how to install the Lowrance fuse in the video. Please explain.

Allen, The Installation of the fuse was completed during the battery wiring segment. Fast forward the video to 14:31 minutes and you can see the process. Thanks for watching my video Norman

How much does it cost
@NormanGooch2 жыл бұрын
The prices start at $3,695 and up depending on the package and model of the boat. The boat shown in the video is a Twin Troller X10 Deluxe Boat which sells for $4,595. The special Lake Camo Paint was an additional $650. Shipping is not included, it cost me $500 for shipping to North Carolina. You can view Freedom Electric Marine's website for additional information: www.freedomelectricmarine.com. I appreciate you watching my video. Thanks, Norman

Excellent set up how to !!! I have been pondering these set-ups, but they seem to be overpriced to me. I have been looking at John boats as an option. So I noticed your John boat in your shop. Thinking this would be a more reasonable purchase and cost for me. So may I ask your reasoning on this purchase of the Twin-troller over your johnboat?
@NormanGooch2 жыл бұрын
Ron, I own a 10ft Jon Boat that I use for fishing in rivers, lakes, and ponds. I also own a 18ft JVX Carolina Skiff I use for bass fishing in larger bodies of water and fishing the inland waters and sound areas in North Carolina. I bought the Twin Troller because I like the idea of no hands trolling using dual in hull trolling motors. The motors are recessed and protected from hitting rocks, sticks, and weeds. Driving with your feet, you never have to put down you rod, you can keep fishing and maneuver the boat in tight quarters and get where other boats can’t go. The Twin Troller is very stable, you can stand up and fish and move around without rocking or tipping the boat. I know the price of the Twin Troller is much higher than other boats in the same size range. I also thought the same as you, they are expensive. I have owned many different boats over the years, but none had in-hull propulsion, stability, maneuvering capabilities and comfortable seating as the Twin Troller. I decided the technology, design, high quality materials, and the manufacturing process was worth the price over other lower price boat options. I appreciate you watching my video Thanks Norman Gooch

did you get the easy lift boat dolly? they sell it on the website.
@NormanGooch2 жыл бұрын
Brad, I didn't buy a dolly. I use a boat trailer to carry and winch the boat out of the water. I added a 9ft tongue to the trailer with walking platforms mounted all the way to the rear of the trailer making it long enough to reach shallow water creeks, ponds, and rivers. With the walking platforms and extended trailer length, I can launch the boat without having to walk in water, weeds, and mud. I appreciate you watching my video! Thanks Norman

Pretty much the same as mine in 2019 except that gray camo was not available. My fish finder never did work correctly though. I do love my TT though as up here in Northern Michigan I am blessed with hundreds of lakes that the TT was made for.
@NormanGooch3 жыл бұрын
I like the Lake Camo finish on the TT it is unique. I also enjoy fishing in the TT. I live in North Carolina and mainly fish for bass in small rivers and creeks. The TT performs well and it has been great to get into the shallow waters and fish for bass where I have not been able to go in my 18' bass boat. I hope Freedom Electric replaced your fish finder. I appreciate you watching my video. Thanks, Norman

What is the best batteries for these trolling motors????
@NormanGooch2 жыл бұрын
I use a Duracell Ultra BCI Group 31M 12V 800CCA AGM Marine & RV Battery. I purchased the battery from Batteries Plus, most of the time you can get 10% off when buying online and pick it up at the store. This AGM battery has these benefits: • 105AH • 800 Cold Cranking Amps • 1000 Marine Cranking Amps • Warranty: 30 Month Free Replacement • Has 20x more vibration resistance than flooded marine batteries. • 2x more cycle life than traditional marine batteries. • Spill-proof design and can be installed in any orientation except upside down. • The battery replaces any group 31 deep cycle boat battery. I usually fish between 8 to 10 hours during the spring and summer months and the battery lasts all day. The disadvantage of this battery: It is heavy - Weighs 67.35 pounds. The battery costs about $275.00 with a core exchange and around $300 without a core exchange. Lithium batteries would also be a good choice for this boat since they weigh about 60% less than AGM batteries. (About 31 pounds). This would be a great advantage over heavy lead-acid batteries. I'm thinking of buying one of these with this trailer those tires look very small how fast mph will these tires handle? because Im about 80 miles from my lake? Thanks
@NormanGooch2 жыл бұрын
They are 8" tires. I wanted small tires to the keep the height of the trailer as low as possible. The lower the boat sits on the trailer, the easier it is to launch and load in shallow water, especially if there are no ramps available. The fastest I pulled the boat is 60 MPH. The the longest distance was 65 miles. So far, I haven't had any issues with distance or speed using the smaller tires. Thanks, Norman

For that price they should deliver it right to the garage, and put it together
@NormanGooch2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you, the boat is expensive compared to other boats of the same size and category. However, none have the maneuverability or stability of the Twin Troller. Being able to fish and never have to take your hands off the rod, navigate around trees, stumps, and rocks plus maintain the boat's position even in the wind, and be able to turn 360 degrees in place and reverse with ease was worth the additional costs for the technology and the fun fishing in this boat. Thanks for watching my video. Norman

Hey Norman. I’m very interested in getting this boat. I like to bass fish, and spot lock on newer trolling motors is an important feature for me. I know the trolling motor system on the boat doesn’t have this so I was wanting to add a trolling motor to the bow. Do you think this would be possible? And does this boat allow installation of other fish finders? Thanks
@NormanGooch2 жыл бұрын
Mike, As far as I know, there are no bow mount brackets available for installing a trolling motor on the Twin Troller. However, other Twin Troller owner’s have built fishing platforms on the front of their boats and mounted a trolling motor. You can search Twin Troller modifications on Google and can find some that have been added. This may give you some ideas on how it is done. You definitely can install other fish finders on the Twin Troller. Using mounts or directly mount to the boat. Thanks, Norman

I bought 2020 Twin Toller but had water inside the haul every time boat in the water. Not easy to drain water out and Not sure what else to do seem like manufacture did not test out this boat. If i have 2nd chance i would not buy it.
@NormanGooch2 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear about that. I just bought the Twin Troller on September 2021. I haven't used it enough to determine if my boat has the same problem. According to the information sent with the boat, the hull has a 5 year warranty. I would think that if water is leaking inside the hull that should be covered. You should contact Freedom Electric and let them know your problem and see if they will repair or exchange. Thanks for watching my video. Norman
