The thing when it comes to ears popping, has to do with cabin pressure when it comes to aircraft. Especially the A350-900. From my point of view when it comes to riding airliners wether be delta, American and spirit. Take off can lead to cabin pressure. Post take off, can be relaxing. Mind the turbulence.

Yep, it can get pretty congested when ops are confined to a limited number of runways. MSP right now is a perfect example with the 12L/30R construction closure.
@stephenwouw86247 ай бұрын
Can anyone explain the "buzzing" or rather "drilling" noise at takeoff when the wheels come off the ground till cruise altitude and the seatbelt sign is off? Its far less noticeable in an A350 compared to my recent 777-300 a week ago, but having searched and asked around for videos at takeoff even the A350 has is it in some capacity. I believe it's the compressor that regulates cabin pressure, but some say that's not true.
@twincitiesaviator7 ай бұрын
Engine N1 fan blades going supersonic so you get a buzzsaw type of sound. The thinner the air is the less it’s heard so eventually it becomes inaudible as we climb out. The A350s Rolls Royce Trent XWBs are specifically designed to reduce this sound, so it’s muffled in a sense. The GE90s on the 777s have a very prominent buzzsaw in most cases.
@stephenwouw86247 ай бұрын
@@twincitiesaviator thank you so much! I’ve deep dive into the matter. To be even more amazed of the engineering aspect of the engines. Still I always kind of knew the noise was never a problem, I didn’t like the sound as it overtakes the beautiful jet engine sounds.

You can tell it’s a domestic flight as the plane flies lower - and thus experiences more turbulence. International flights fly higher and so experience less turbulence as they fly above everything.
@twincitiesaviator8 ай бұрын
Turbulence doesn’t necessarily occur lower vs higher, all depends on fronts, air masses, and the jet steam. The opposite for domestic vs international is actually true. International flights start off cruising lower due to their high loads, but get higher closer to their destination as they burn fuel(lower weight=higher cruise altitude). Domestic flights are generally lighter and can cruise higher overall.
