MSP Airport Plane Spotting: A Double Sided Winter

The 2023-2024 winter season in Minnesota has been one of the mildest I've ever experienced. There's been a notable lack of snow and extreme cold. Despite the overall pattern so far, we did get one decent arctic blast with temps near zero for a few days. Not even 10 days later, temps soared to nearly 55 Fahrenheit. The first half of this compilation features the colder side and the latter half the warmer.

Always amazing in the winter how you can hear the air rush through the engines. Nice footage!

No kidding! I call it “deep fried audio” as counterintuitive as it sounds. It occurs at temperatures below 10 Fahrenheit. The sounds become extra wispy and crispy. Airflow and engines can be heard from much further away too depending on wind conditions.

Ya...that last A350 was a empty ferry flight down to Atl. Airborne after a 2500 ft ground roll...!!
