Oh my God it's like a kind of retrochav time capsule. Horrifying and awesome at the same time. The fridge in the passenger footwell is amazing and the twin exit exhaust. Body-wise it's like some kind of a Corsa / Integrale mashup. To have survived at all is remarkable, to have survived perfectly preserved is mind boggling

Great to see this vid.. I my self own a Cavalier Turbo, but last 4yrs it's been kept in my lockup, and sort of forgot about. It wasn't until Summer just gone my mate who also stores his Astra GTE in their, got me out the house up to lockup but we would just stand and talk, more than anything. But I decided to see if the old girl would start, so we changed battery over and I turned key over, and it was cranking over but very fast!? but wouldn't start...and then after few mins It hit me, I forgot I took the sparkplugs out 🤦‍♂😂, So put plugs in, and then turn of key, she fired up, and I can honestly say she slightly tapped for couple mins if that and then she purrrrrd like a kitten.. even my mate was shocked, for how long it had stood, we where expecting her to tap her ass off. . . but what a great feeling it was.. and in that moment every shit I had been through with loss of family & friends, and how I've been feeling, just went away.. I felt so good smiling like a Cheshire cat! . . But I haven't been up since then, as I have many days I just don't want to do anything or be around folk. - but my mates that are brothers 1 has Nova GSi turbo, the other has Astra GTE turbo... and they kept saying we should get them back on road for car show or meet. but hopefully one day, I'll get the old girl back the road. After all once Driven Forever Smitten...

I’ll always remember the blue nova from fast car with the petrol cap coming through the side rear window, my first car was a D reg white 1.2 nova which was my dream car at 17 when I passed my test, I always wanted a fully modified 2.0l turbo nova but it never happened ☹️ I miss Nova’s I once owned the Max Power Saxo VTS with the devil horns but it kept going tits up so I sadly sold it. I'm 36 and grew up with max power,,anyone remember the back page girls..pink or brown,,spit or swallow 😂 👀..it cars like these that make me smile more than these modern fancy bmw or whatever other car...you can't beat hand crafted old skool raw engine cars to this day..and alot would challenge or blow modern cars,,which are boring and easy to out foot down and car dies the rest..old skool !!!

They were my era of car. I used to laugh at them drive by with them placa body kits on. Huge wheels. Making loads noise and not going anywhere. Corsa crew and nova crew. Whilst we had our cossies and xr4x4s.

It was my brothers car and we would regularly torment owners of much sportier vehicles whilst heading out clubbing on Saturday nights 🤪 Being beaten by a bog standard looking Nova must have been so deflating 🤣

My brother bought his GTE with 4k on the clock from vauxhall in hull, my step brother bought an astra gte 16v and wrote it off after a few months so my bro was one of the first people to have a redtop nova. it was black and said Thunderchild down the side.

Is it just me or do 90's mag featured cars look awfull. they look far better oem . as for the clip front /flip front headunits they made them more stealable no one carried them about they was under the seat visor or in the glove box and they was worth more than the original madness
