Take me back to the 90s best music best cars and awesome soundsytems everywhere you went. Had a nova gsi in white managed to get 18s on it slammed to ground fat dual exhaust k&n etc and full vibe sound system sytem but with a jvc headunit always wanted a ren 5 gt turbo. But daft money even then for a decent one. And didn't have fiesta had an escort rs turbo h reg in white, xr3i convetible in white, and a cavalier gsi in white then dopey missus got pregnant 2 so then we needed a more practical car apparently. 😂😊

Nova hands down. I owned a H plate 1.4 sr with twin 40 webbers and cherry bomb exhaust. Oh and just remembered. It had TWS 4/5 spoke alloy. Loved it. Went like stink sounded perfect.😂😂

I had a Renault 5 back in 1990 running around 160 bhp,but I did see them at 185,I don't think it was possible back then to get any more out of them,Great little performer but unreliable due mostly to head gaskets failing 😊

I had all 3 shapes Renault 5 GTT cost me £300 never ran Usual head gasket issue Nova gte & gsi basically a go kart that got me from Leicester to Birmingham with £3 petrol 😂 Fiesta rs1800 I got rid of after thieves bent the entire top half of the door to look inside and not steal my kenwood stereo. All 3 bring a smile to my face especially the nova GTE

Great vid, Jon Sheild built the original A16VTB Green Nova which was a C20XE with a turbo kit fitted, not a C20LET. Mark Watts had the Purple ( Amaranth) Nova C20LET. JULY 1996 MAX POWER MAG. Also Novas only had drums at the rear, the mod was to fit the rear hubs from the Mk2 Astra GTE 16V

I had a the sri, then gte and finally Courtney turbo nova. 6k conversion. Magnex exhaust, k&n and jbl 6x9 speakers and Rockford bass bin lol. I painted the brake calipers and had matching foot pedals. I'd pull up at max power event and was so rare to see a nova with a dump valve. Those were the days playing garage or tidy tracks with arm outta the window 😂

'back in the day' I wasn't into the scene too much. I was mainly into hot rods and pro-street cars. I had a supercharged Firebird when most of the other lads at college had modded hot hatches. It's funny how time affects tastes. I think the late sporty Nova was a lovely design nowadays. I'd be chuffed to have one in my modest collection.

Absolutely love that Nova and was mint to see it at The Reunion Show. I bought some recaros off Joseph a few years ago for my mk1 Astra and he’s a sound bloke. After seeing this video I really want to drop a turbo lump in my Nova 😂 and I’m 43 and still got a sub in the boot, it’s a must for all Nova’s 😂 I’ll finish my Turbo mk1 Escort first and then look into it 🤔

Interesting story when I started at a rover dealership in 96 , a salesman had built a 2.0 turbo transplanted nova first in the country with the 6 speed box apparently and it was featured a few months before in max power , he apparently didn't like the features writer as they called him knob rots in the feature his name was rob notts .

Never had the Nova but had 2 Renault 5 gt turbo's and fiesta RS turbo in the 90s amongst other cars. Not at the same time obviously. Used to sell after a year because of insurance. Wish I'd kept at least one now 😢

GTE / GSI drum rear brakes, 1st and only ever car I brought new Nova GTE H905DTM, brought in 1990 my first year working for Vauxhall motors and nearly 35 years later still working for Vauxhall Motors, well Stellantis 😂 always used to fit the electric sunroof motor from the cavalier to the Novas just used to wire it up to the interior light, those were the days great memories 😂
