I got the Assam Tea a while ago in Japan and thought once I was back in the states I would be able to find it at any store.....not so much in the southern states. I may have to go very wide or only go to a proper whole foods store to find the tea. It was the best tea I've had so far and I love green and black teas for its flavors. Red Tea I grew up on so all I knew was the basic favorite of the south or my family the Red Diamond brand as a child. Once I made my own money I branched off in to better teas!

Thanks for such an amazing video, and, again, great quality video (as always). Something strange, is that, normally at the end of his videos he says, and I quote, "Untill next time, happy tea times." In this video he said "Untill next time, happy tea tasting." It probably should be like this. No problem, though. I am just saying. Thanks again for everything you give us. Twinings really wakes me up, and gives me a great start to every morning or evening, everyday. Thanks for being so amazing! You deserve it, Twinings.

Sir please describe about benefit of theaflavin in black tea from Assam

most teas have very mild benefits, if any at all. these benefits are exaggerated by folklore and by corporations making "scientic" claims from studies that are poorly done. overdrinking tea is a very real problem. its very common in the native populations to overbrew and drink very heavy tea. this releases tannins (bitter flavor), and if you drink these compounds, they bind to important nutrients and prevent your body from absorbing them. this is a well-documented problem in populations that regularly consume tea. like most "neutral" foods, tea is exaggerated for its benefits, when in fact, it has many negatives when consumed too often, or without knowledge of the chemicals involved. these negatives also include caffeine and especially its diuretic effect causing urination. both of these together overrtakes any benefit of drinking water and in fact, pulls away from your body's natural storage of water. if you find your skin feeling dry, or your allergies worsen, or you have constipation, it may be that tea is worsening these conditions.

Well, nice video. But try to prepare the Assamese tea by boiling the tea leaves with the water. Then filter it using a seive net. I mean that's how we prepare it here in Assam.

while this may be more authentic to native regions, boiling tea leaves directly is a very bad idea. if you had said to very gently heat tea in water over a long period of time and maintaining the tea's temperature safely below boiling, that would be far better - but this still has an adverse effect. overheating and overbrewing tea releases a lot of the tannins, leading to an overly bitter flavor that has nothing to do with enhancing the characteristic of the tea itself. in fact, it takes away from your ability to smell the tea you've brewed, and interferes with the other chemicals being diffused into the water. it's like preferring your toast to be nearly burnt instead of just browned. the taste and the health of doing so are bad. tannins are a well-known health risk in all teas, because they bind to certain nutrients in your food and prevent your body from absorbing them. i would say that we know from scientic research that just because there's an authentic way of preparing food or drink, does not mean we should do it just because it's how the people of that region do it.

How did he mention the growing conditions of Assam's geographic origin without the incredible violence behind the Assam tea production? Very strange.

as with any mass-produced cash crop, there has been exploitation of native populations to get to where we are today, especially by imperialist nations like britain, america, and china. look at the history of banana plantations in south america, for example.
