@@babatunde1523 It works brother. You must factory reset both your phone and the car device. After the reset, please update Android Auto and your device should work. I hope you have upgraded to latest firmware on your car device too.

I am facing hanging/freezing issues with Android Auto in Maruti Suzuki Scross 2022. When using Android Auto for Navigation along with KZbin music running in the background on the Infotainment, the car screen froze(and so did the navigation) after about 30 minutes of usage. The audio kept working though. The phone is Oneplus6T and it's not having anything else running in the background.

I was expecting one very important point in the video. So as safety feature they added a setting that if you try to connect android auto while driving it wont connect. infact once you started driving and even you stop, park and restart your car the andriod auto will not connect. I used to wonder how to solve this issue. am facing serious problem when i go to shop or petrol bunk and then suddenly the connection fails and i cant use the map thereafter. one thing i noticed is until we connect android auto we shouldnt change gear, and yes defenitely park brake should be applied.

I came here for this exact problem, on highway yesterday I faced so much issue. My android auto was working fine until we stopped for a break and shut the car. When I restarted the car the android auto wasn't connecting was so much irritated. How to solve it bro ??

@@ashutosht10 i have to experiment on the time. But what i have noticed is when you restart just don't change gear or disengage parking brake. Just start connect the phone wait until it gets connected then change it to neutral or whatever you want. Regarding time, if incase we start driving then we can stop for some time and then restart and repeat as mentioned above. But how much time gap we need to give that i need to experiment. Bcz i know short gaps won't work.

@@knachuthan What car do you have BTW ? Mine is Baleno recently bought. Also I found that we should disable USB debugging and enable blutooth on setting in Android auto app for faster connection. You can try that and see.

@@ashutosht10 i have Baleno RS. Yes even though you connect with USB, Bluetooth connection still exist for calls. Only iOS car play uses only usb. This is explained in user manual. USB debugging will be disabled by default i hope.

Android auto was working fine for 2 years with Samsung galaxy J8 / Suzuki Ciaz. The AA logo is not seen on the car screen. Have factory reset phone, changed and tried all cables ( including my friends and neighbours). After upgrading AA on phone, it can be seen only in Phone setting>Apps and not on phone screen. Have tried in app notification settings to connect to car. the message is :"to get started, plug your phone into this vehicle's Android compatible USB port". It is already plugged in. Have done everything. And now the cake. When i connect another phone Samsung Galaxy M40 ( which has a older version of AA), it connects. Have even tried to downgrade the AA version on my phone but it doesn't happen. I think it may be due to AA upgrade bugs. At my wits end. Please help.

I am also facing exact same.issue.. i have a ciaz and my. phone is oppo Reno 3 pro which received Android 11 update. With this update aa is now part of operating system. You wouldn't be able to uninstall or reinstall the app.. however I have checked for permissions under app permission and everything is allow.. tried factory reset as well on infotainment system. Still no luck.

I found out a way to address this issue even after trying all the steps you mentioned in the video. That's as soon as connecting the USB cable, I've chosen the option " transfer file" from the three options ( charge only, transfer file, transfer fotos). I'm not sure how, but it worked :-).
