Besides 1 Warren G, Def Jam dropped the ball with every other West Coast rap Act. East Coast label Def Jam was down bad financially so they were quick to try and capitalize on the Newfound West Coast rap success. But they didn't know how to Market West Coast music. Warren G ended up with the best situation because he was death row Affiliated & dr. Dre's brother. They wanted to sign anything from Death Row, even it's leftovers. At one point they tried to sign Snoop behind Suge Knight's back.
