Your hair is not ashy looking. I noticed you mentioned this in a response to a comment below. You have a beautiful, deep sheen. Afro-textured hair, that is toward the 4 scale tends to be made of singular hair strands which are multi-textured. The hair strand itself is not straight, but elliptical in shape. Thus, it reflects light differently. The light on afro-textured hair is diffused light because the bumps/texture in the hair reflect light in many different directions. Your hair is beautiful. Hence, this is part of the intrinsic beauty of afro-textured hair: this sheen. It is not a detriment. Our hair is different than other types of hair. I love your hair videos! Your hair is gorgeous.

Beautiful twist out! I love the density of your hair, and I dont think it looks ashy at all. It seems off-black almost dark brown, and has a healthy sheen to it. I'd even wear mine in the pinned up style that you did to put it away for sleeping. That was very cute.

Hello Efficiently Natural, all I could think was "WOW" this is just jaw dropping FABULOUSNESS! Great tutorial as well. You've taken such excellent care of your hair to get it to this length and health, it's truly motivating. The wonderful Asha aka Naturally High asked if I had seen any of your videos yet and I had just watched this one last night and was amazed at the amount of beautiful hair on your head. I should be able to say that super duper long hair doesn't shock me anymore because more black women are learning how to care for their hair and retaining length but heck I am still shocked when I see your hair, length and thickness in abundance lol! And I see your "Wearable Two Strand Twist" video in the side bar and it looks ultra fabulous, so I'm headed there next. I really really love twists and twists on super long hair, oh I can't describe the happiness I feel, wishing it they were on my head lol! Thanks for sharing : )

+kerducky, aww thank you so much!!!! Glad you enjoyed the video. I too love twists! They are so versatile....though I sometimes do get tired of them after some time. Hahahhaha, it's so nice if Naturally High to recommend me. Thank you so much for checking out my videos!

You're so welcome, and no problem it's a joy to watch your videos...I just seen a gigantic sleek bun video on the side bar that's calling my name lol! Videos like yours are so motivating. Keep up the great work and have a wonderful week : )

Loved the results. But that humidity would have pissed me off if it did that to my twistout after all my hard work. The joys of being natural with kinky hair. Your hair still looked cute after the humidity hit it. I would have just pinned the sides like the old school Lauren Conrad or bohemian look and called it a day.

I have 4c/4b hair and no general issues with dullness or ashiness except when I have product buildup from cowashing without clarifying. I ccurently use Acure clarifying shanpoo and it does a good job of removing build up and preping my hair for conditioner. When my hair dries it is shiny without oil.

I really enjoy hair play. The longer my hair gets the more it holds on to my other hair too & my daughter's. I'd like to see you do updos. The only thing I don't like about styles is the build up of gels in my hair so I like to style without having to depend on the sleekness.

Can you please do a video on how you do your mini twists (the ones you wore sometimes while you were transitioning)? I would love to rock them but I'm afraid that they'd make my hair tangle or dread up lol! So I'd love to see the takedown process as well!
@EfficientlyNatural7 жыл бұрын
Actually, it's not too different from how I did these: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHWYo4ScqM2Whq8. I haven't had the patience to do them again in a while but I'll try to record the take down process the next time I do.

Yes! I used to do that back in the day every time I blow dried but I found it was a little too much manipulation for me. My hair seems to be healthier when I just use the tension method. Nothing can substitute the smoothness you get using the comb attachment though!
