Twisted Metal Head-On: Dark Tooth Challenge Match

Dark Tooth is driven by both personalities of Sweet Tooth: Marcus and Needles Kane. His machine guns are slightly weaker versions of Sweet Tooth's napalm cone specials, and he has a sort of maw on the front of the vehicle that crushes and throws, just like Mr. Slam's special. Of course, the armor is a bit weaker than the boss version of this character, and it's a bit smaller.

What I dislike is that playable bosses are nerfed, so what's the point? The same with SB. Without taking in count the graphics improvements, I stick to TM2 and TM4.

They are nerfed but dark tooth still extremely OP and overpowers the entire cast. Unlike cousin Eddie cuz he is trash, the game tells you that he has perfect armor but he only has the same armor as roadkill and tower tooth I think that thing was never meant to be playable, it's massive and extremely buggy.

AJTrecords Small Brawl was awful... while this wasn’t exactly as bad as Small Brawl, there’s nothing really great about it. People just got excited because it was a new TM, just like the god awful TM2012 You can’t recapture how good TM 1 thru 4 were. Not even Black.

CableReadyTechnoSIut Um no, people loved this game because it was a direct sequel to TM2, and felt like TM2 which was the best of the series. The game was great and filling, even having a PSP port which made it more accessible. TM3/4 were literally like watching a cheap Indian bootleg of the franchise be made. Stupid stories, and stupid gameplay.

@@CableReadyTechnoSIut TM3 and TM4 are widely considered the worst, your opinion not withstanding. I think Small Brawl is the worst (though that is not a knock against it as I was not it's target audience), followed closely by TM3. TM1 is way better than those but the lackluster environments and iffy controls let it down, making it third worst. TM4 is better than TM1 gameplay-wise and rivals TM2, but the new characters are just mediocre and uninteresting. Pizza Boy? Really? It does have some unique vehicles and specials though as well as a killer overall roster (read: old roster just overpowered), it is just let down by the boring new characters and awful stories. It was still a huge step up from TM3, though that should be expected considering how much pressure was on the dev team and how little time they had to put a game out basically from square 1. TM 2012 was middle of the road for various reasons even though I found it's combat to be the most satisfying, but TM2, Black, and Head On are definitely the top three. They had the most love and care put into them because they were made by the original creators and were given the time to make a good game. In another universe TM4 could have been a great start to the franchise and it would've been interesting to see how 989 would've taken it into the PS2 era.
