They should do a new twisted metal with every character and their respective car from twisted metal 1 to black. And all the maps from twisted metal 1 to black , redone in HD. And the characters story lines redone but no human acting in the cut scenes. And here's the point to remember, no racing! Just straight up tournaments of death! Now I would gladly spend 100$ for the game Twisted Metal : Carnage

Yes YES yes yes Hell freaking yes. What's crazy too is between the popularity of arena shooters and battle royale games, it's kind of mind boggling that they just sit on their hands and do NOTHING with this classic IP. Apparently they're making a show? I mean wtf.... If they release that show and don't at least release 2012TM along side it on PS4 as cross promotion, then I really don't know what's even up with this franchise. If they're willing to rerelease the Ghostbusters game to cross promote the new movie, YOUDE THINK Twisted Metal 2012 could get a BIT of love. I think they signed it off to PS NOW and it may never escape its stinking streamy claws. :( I just gotta buy a PS3 again, still got my disc at least.

Twisted metal 3 and black were my favorites. Black had a deep background of every character and the way they put all storylines together was brilliant.

This honestly had the most robust gameplay of any Twisted Metal game. It had an aura that feels like a cross between 2 (my favorite) and Black. If they had more time to refine the single player experience, it might have sold better. Still, it's a favorite game of mine alongside TM 1, 2, Head-On, and Black.

Forget battleroyale, car combat was the bomb. Why it went out of style is beyond me look at this thing its so crazy its amazing. I will never sweet tooth's original laugh. Hearing it as a kid was a thing of nightmare but brings about fond memories years later.

Twisted was basically one of the 1st battle royale games. They need to just make it this way and cross platform. It could be huge as Fortnite, pubg etc if they can incorporate they right kind of gameplay and mechanics of that genre. I personally luv to play competitive twisted metal online. With awesome customization and weapon variety

Lool heard of this from my colleague and this is one of the craziest games I ever saw or played. I love the J-Turn and shooting while going reverse. Reminds me of Death Race when Frankenstein fought against Pachenko😅 Must try this too

For a year or more, I ended my day by playing a quick run of TW2 as SweetTooth. Then off to bed. No other game in the series matched my affection for TW2. This one looks like nothing but kaos, but if they made a TW version for PS4 or 5 , I'd probably buy it.

@Matt Riley I'm almost 60 yr old, and I was just playing my PS4 10 minutes ago. (one of the Uncharted series. Lost Legacy). I won a PS5 when they 1st came out but it was the digital no CD Rom version so I sold it for $750. I've got 25 PS4 games(1/2 still wrapped new) so I want the PS5 with CD rom version. And I owned a computer store for 10 yrs but I have no idea how to mod anything. They may someday some out with a TM for PS 4 or 5. I can wait. I just bought an old Sega Genesis game updated to PS4. Streets of Rage. It was a fav of mine in early 90's. I just wore it out for the last 2 months. Retro games can satisfy. Looking for a Road Rash update, too.

I won't be playing this game for the same reason I didn't like Twisted Metal Black: The other cars don't actually fight each other. It blows my goddamn mind how a PS1 game could have better AI than a PS3 game, but they actually fought each other in Twisted Metal 2. Cars would kill each other without you being anywhere near them and every car you ran into wouldn't have full fucking HP. It makes the entire game feel a hell of a lot less realistic and less fun

Are you sure about that? Cause everytime I play Twisted Metal 2, I swear all the other cars just go for me lol. Maybe its that I play on hard or I've noticed that when the other cars fight each other they don't really cause that much damage to each other. Also it sucks you didn't like TM: Black. I thought it was a really great game and one of the best of the series. Even better than this new one.

Play Twisted Metal 2 again yourself. They go after each other too. They will even sometimes knock each other off the side of a level and kill each other before you even run into them.

Well that was originally supposed to be the case with this one, it was meant to be an online only game, but Sony kept making demands to make it single player.

What I've noticed is if you drive around picking fights with everyone, then everyone is going to just go after you. But if you pick on one guy, the others will do their own thing more often, even attack eachother a bit, but not much for sure. Even Black is like that. I think it has to do with game balancing. But I personally would prefer they just shoot eachother and inflict a bit less damage than the player can you know? Sort of a compromise. Even in Twisted Metal 3 they show the AI attacking eachother in the menu, but sure enough in game they're much more focused on you than anything. so they've always been capable of it, but its a design decision. It bugged me at first but I don't care really my nostalgia and fun with it outweighs the moments the progamming shows its hand.

I only like the first Twisted Metal game because it has a first person perspective mode which I greatly prefer. Also, I prefer realism to all the glowing power ups and particle effects. Wish someone would make a first person style Mad Max type game or better yet a few of them. Rage was good. An open world game like Fallout3 with vehicles would be perfect.

Absolynth I wouldn’t say that. Each Twisted Metal game all has their own pros and cons. Gameplay wise i actually find the first one to be the most fun, then 2, then Black. TM on ps3 has great gameplay but just a really weak story and the lack of characters sucks. But it definitely plays very well. Shoulda been more popular
