I'm starting to be a bit sad about the lack of full length playthroughs of games. I get that Ray want to do more collabs nowadays, but that's what like 99% of every streamer does. Ray was an oasis with great single player streams!

I complained about this like 2 years ago lol. Ray directly replied and said he doesn't have time for it and they don't perform well. If it doesn't do well on youtube=he doesn't wanna do it unless he really loves the game like yakuza.

Watching Ray play this makes me sad that he never played through Ghost of Tsushima because he thought it looked like another AC. Missed out on one hell of a game with an epic story and combat. This game looks pretty sick though, might have to give it a try.

It was a great game but it at the end of the day it is just another AC clone fundamentally. I think he'd enjoy it. I also think he'd enjoy Alan Wake 2 it would make for a ton of clips

Would love to see a full playthrough! But as Ray is only big on collabs lately,maybe a playthrough of Remnant 2? It's somewhat souls-like but also different and unique in it's own way. Plus maybe do a collab with Matt and maybe Jeremy? Old AH crew just messing around would be cool to see. Plus lots of content and replayability in that game. Just a suggestion though 🤗 Not really sure Ray would enjoy it a whole lot but a video or two out of it would be cool content

Hey Ray just as a heads up for the future, this game defaults to Super Resolution at 100 which is super taxing on a computer you could turn it down to like 60 and it still looks good and runs decently.

This is absolutely a souls like, it looks and plays exactly like a souls game lol Stamina bar that lowers from attacks, dodging, and sprinting. "Bonfire" that you regain your healing consumable, resets the enemies, and you fast travel from. Status effects that don't apply until a bar is filled up. Why are people saying this *isn't* a souls like? That's a good thing!

I think because none of those things are really exclusive to Souls and Souls-like games. Those elements in combination WITH a crushing difficulty is more of the style, and most people say this game isn't as difficult but idk

@@TravisMattson-q7p If you go around and look at what people (people, not games journalists) call a "souls like", things like what I mentioned are what is used as consideration. A game does not have to be difficult to be a souls like. Cuphead is not a souls like. Calling every difficult game the "dark souls of x genre" is not how "souls-like" works, despite how much games journalists love to throw that around. The gameplay elements are what makes it a souls like. And the souls games aren't the first to do anything, but they are games that have, at this point, gotten their own named soft "genre", so saying "souls like" isn't saying "souls games were the first and only games to do this", it's just similar things from souls games. I have typed the word "souls" so much that it is no longer a word to me lol

Simple, because in the gaming community "Souls-like" has come to mean very hard gameplay. Dying like 20-30 times to just one boss, cheap enemy placement that can also kill you easily if you don't pay attention, etc. Forget about the other things that made Darks Souls well Dark Souls, only thing people remember is it's very fucking hard. Hence why people are saying this game isn't a "souls-like" or in Ray's case the newer God of War. God of War was always considered a hack n slash, but not overly difficult for the average player. So it's less about the elements and more about the stigma behind the genre. It's like how a ton of people are scared shitless by sharks but reality is majority of sharks want absolutely nothing to do with humans. There's usually less that 100 global attacks per year and only 5-15 of those are fatal. Yet when people hear "Shark" they equate it to this blood thirsty animal that will kill you if you give it a chance.

am i the only one who thinks the game doesnt look that good actually? like sure cool particle and light effects and the characters are super details but the animation itself feels so wonky, especially on the characters. it clips through itself a lot and the way their mouths move when they talk is horrible, gestures and movements in the little cutscenes are stiff and over exaggerated, theres just a lot that doesn't feel right

The game is originally voiced in Mandarin, and dubbed to English, so obviously the mouth movement won’t align with the speaking since it’s dubbed. The animations are very well done compared to other games of this nature, not perfect, but well executed.
