It isn't just Twitch, it's a lot of the larger streaming companies right now. KZbin is also at fault for a lot of problems. There's a streaming service called Kick which is trying to pay streamers for their content but at that point you don't have ownership over your content and they can 'fire' you whenever they want so you don't even know if you're getting paid minimum wage or what-have-you. Then whatever you made belongs to them because they paid you for it. There's way too many dumb things going on with with streaming service right now. Nowhere is a safe space. 😢 5:00 Much like his stormtrooper outfit and the persona he's trying to pull off there, his shots definitely missed.

KZbin is the best place to stream. It has the most discoverability and they have a 70/30 split on memberships. Not as good as kick, but kick has a serious lack in viewers and discoverability.

Think its more the Meta of streaming is moving away from video game content and Twitch is having the hardest time dealing with that. Think it was when D4 came out and I went to look at the clips for the D4 section. 4 out of the top 5 clips had nothing to do with D4 itself. Then I went the other days and two of the top clips were again nothing to do with the game. One being a cam girl streamer. No matter how bad the other platforms are they will have a better time with streaming moving away from video games. As Twitch is only seen as a video game streaming platform.

I know at least one or two people who had this happen to them. 😫 Still it's pretty bad when a developer or admin of a web streaming platform pops in and just takes over your chat to argue with you. Very childish, intrusive, and just takes everybody out of the enjoyment of what they're watching. I mean at that point you're messing with your own revenue because the streamers going to stop streaming nobody's going to keep donating so you're not going to get the money anyways. 🤷 I don't know what that guy was thinking, probably not a whole lot.

Twitch Staff is abusing their rights. Last year a german partner manager of twitch offered admins on a roleplay server partnerships, if they would bring new features fast on the roleplay server the twitch stuff guy is playing on. they are using their power and rights whenever they can. rthey even have the ability to hide their staff icon and everyone could think they are not associated with twitch but no, they are showing it right into your face and they dont really give a damn what your opinion is. this seth guy, idk he fits into twitch really good. Twitch is really getting an illness, it makes people sick in so many ways. ffs

Multistreaming on Twitch not allowed and Twitch thinks they're going to own content creators by saying they have to be exclusive to their platform only. Here is all I got to say to that (virtually rips up Twitch Affiliate agreement) I wish I never signed onto their Affiliate :( Twitch doesn't give a damn about their content creators, in fact it's blatantly obvious now that they hate their own content creators!

Give it a week and you will find this streamer banned off the platform. When Amazon bought them out much of the higher positions got stock options at Amazon but required them to stay at Twitch for a set number of years. 4-5 years I think. Once that time was up they moved on to even better jobs. The people that made the company or long gone.

Harris is a very good content creator, he's been on Twitch for a very long time and his reaction to what happened was definitely warranted. He was running a just chatting stream and to have a Twitch employee in the stream, heckle him and basically make him feel like he isn't allowed to have said opinion is ridiculous.

I'm kinda conflicted about this, on one hand I think the twitch employee should have given it a rest after it was shown he was unwelcome (aka after his 3rd message in chat). But I don't think he hijacked the stream, he had a short conversation with the streamer, the streamer got unnecessarily angry, and the guy ends the stream. Only thing I disagree with is that he typed after he was banned, other than that I think the streamer completely overreacted, he could have just stated that the employees not welcome in the stream and ignored his messages.

I think the streamer was distressed when a Twitch staff told him he’s “far off” but didn’t get any clear answers when he asked how so. It’s hard to tell from a short clip so I don’t know how long this conversation took, but it looks to me he got increasingly frustrated over time. Maybe it was just a miscommunication and they’ll talk it out in private, who knows?
