Hey, thanks for using my video. I've been following Haley for near a decade, have eight years of live Haley performances on my channel and I STILL get a HUGE body buzz hearing her sing, especially live. If you really want to dig into more Haley live performances (I'm biased, I think the best way to hear Haley is live over her recordings because she does so much w/ her voice at every show) I have over 800 videos of Haley to choose from (The last couple years, I've had the fortune to get better access to her shows w/ an external mic instead of relying on camera mic). She's incredibly adept at so many genres, you can never get bored listening to her. She's also a sweetheart flower child. She's most known for her covers, but you should check out her originals as well ( She has four albums, three are full of originals, her latest "Lo-Fi Soul" is her best IMO). She signed w/ a publishing company, so has made a comfortable living via song writing, they've sold some of her songs for advertising and placement in media & movies. She also just made her acting debut as a super hero in a Robert Rodriguez Movie on Netflix called "We Can Be Heroes" (She covers Bowie's "Heroes" in the movie, then released a full version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIavqWeEoN-ooK8.

Hey no problem! The viewers of the stream actually pick the videos and they go automatically into a widget, so I never actually know who posts them! I'll make sure to add your channel/link the original in the description. Your insight on her singing is awesome, thanks for being here! I'd love to hear more from her. Would love to chat more on stream too :)

@@CharlieCalottaReacts As I get older, I'm not as quick on the uptake technologically speaking. I've never streamed before, although I'm tempted to try to figure it out as my channel is approaching 100,000 subscribers, surprising since I started my channel as a way to share Haley's live performances w/ her fans that I was fortunate enough to see. At the time, Haley had just been dropped by her first label for no reason, which sent her into 'hiding' for awhile, not doing many performances, mostly in small venues (THE reason Haley chose to be an independent musician). I was already blown away by her, so a quick trip to LA $15 cover fee was more than worth seeing any *high Value* act nowadays w/ effects and video monitors. THE reason my channel took off was I had the fortune of 'being there' when Haley and Postmodern Jukebox converged and simultaneously took off. I was all of a sudden supplying videos for two relatively small fan bases. I had always thought the people of the UK (I immigrated from there) would LOVE Haley over there, so I made a promise w/ a fan that IF Haley ever performed in the UK, I would go. PMJ was her path to perform in Europe. I found I had enough airmiles, the trip only cost me $200 for Heathrow's taxes. My Hotel was a boat ride on the Thames from the theater, and since I was the only one going there for Haley (I bought the Meet and Greet) , long story short, I ended getting to be at PMJ's After party, since UK was the last stop of the tour. I'm truly an addict for this woman's music, she's my literal muse, as I'd never done anything like videos before this, on the job training. Now Haley has let me get access w/ an external mic, so she's been really sweet giving me opportunities. Here's my video of "Creep" in the UK in 2015, that began my channel's ascent (simultaneous w/ Haley and PMJ's) kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJLagXxsgtamipI ...excuse the shaking, when I hear Haley sing, sometimes I get uncontrollable shakes, a big buzz, but noticeable is the crowd is stunned silent. This was before the PMJ video hit, so no one was expecting it. Now when Haley sings the "F*ck* lyric, people often cheer. It was silent at this show, all I heard in the crowd was someone saying "wow"

As others have said, it's really worthwhile to listen to the "studio" version of this. It's also a live take (story in a Reply below), just without the audience. Also highly recommended is the PMJ/Reinhart version of Seven Nation Army--or anything, at all, from PMJ Scott Bradlee is a genius arranger, and has an even greater knack for finding just the right singer for his vision of a song.

With the exception of only "Creep", Haley Reinhart made her own song suggestions to Scott, then they hammered out the arrangement mutually together. With Creep, Haley had heard the original PMJ version sung by Karen Marie. So when Haley was on her first tour with PMJ in Europe, Haley asked if she could sing it on the tour. Scott permitted Haley to perform it on tour. Then after her first live performance, which is on KZbin, by the way, the audience erupted and it freaked Haley and Scott out. So Scott said to himself that I need to record this version with Haley singing it this time ASAP. So a few days later they recorded it while still in Europe and the rest is history. Meanwhile, the Haley version has over 101 million views today and the Karen Marie original PMJ version has about 2.7 million views today.

Great use of Kermit as a teaching aid. You should watch the official video - it's much better than anything recorded on an audience member's phone. That she still sounds great here is a testament to her wonderful voice.

Apparently when they did the original PMJ video of this she popped over on a break while at work and they did one take. Haley said they could try again but Scott said no that's the take... and it's just pure magic Edit: I've been corrected in the replies.

Close :-) They were in Zurich on their European tour. Day off, took it to do videos. They did All About That Bass, and Style (Haley was a co-lead on AATB and backup on Style). Scott wanted to try Creep (after Haley rocked that performance), Haley's voice was tired, but Scott thought they could do it in one take. Haley agreed, they did the one take, and ... it was perfect :-) (Summarized from Scott's 2-minute explanation at kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6TOfIZ-ZrCZarc)

One of the few performances where I definitely prefer "studio" version. It was also apparently sang on one take, but the sound quality is incomparably better to this mess. This makes the experience at most half as good, sadly...

When are you going to react to "Oops, I Did It Again" by Haley Reinhart and PMJ? Which is the same exact song Haley was talking about being covered at the Moulin Rouge in Paris. That particular music video holds Haley's third most views on the PMJ music channel. It's a breath taking vocal and performance. The only thing wrong with it, is the cheap camera Scott Bradlee used to film the video makes Haley look far thicker than she is in real life. As in real life she is perfect.

The reason why Haley has never fell into your algorithm yet is because Haley always remains very obscure because she has for years now always refused to sign a deal with a record label. Nonetheless, she is by far the best vocalist to have ever performed with Postmodern Jukebox. You should react to her other performance of that particular night in Paris which is a cover of Seven Nation Army and in which also has far more views relative to her Creep performance you just reacted to. As I promise you will be just as blown away as you were on her Creep cover. As she is utterly amazing.

Big Brain living off the grid, missing the four albums she's made, plus commercials, voice acting, movie roles in addition to anchoring the too views of PMJ's hundreds of videos. Nah, she's been hiding. Yet as good as she is (being one of my favorite current singers), the supreme talent is the classically trained Dutch singer Floor Jansen whose huge instrument is so finely tuned. And lastly the up and coming young Russian contralto Diana Ankudinova whose work has spread beyond the Red Curtain with performances in English, Spanish, French and Arabic in addition o Russian has been blowing minds for the last couple of years. Sure, there other wonderful singers out there to be enjoyed, I just tried to list a couple most would not be disappointed in and happy to come across. Don't postpone joy. Regards

@@CharlieCalottaReacts sorry, I'm on my tablet and my search function of your videos is ..cked up and I couldn't tell but it doesn't surprise me that you have. Personally not into symphonic metal these days. Closest I got was Pink Floyd back in the early 80s. Yeah I know they weren't metal but I'm sure you get the connection. Don't pass up my suggestion of Diana Ankudinova. It doesn't matter if you cover her on your channel, go listen to her cover of Derniere Danse just for your edification and enjoyment. Regards
